Soldiery is actually fine--It didn't take long to get capped on that.
Actually, I can agree with that now, with all the different roulettes and the updates to the existing drops, it doesn't take long to cap. In fact you can do two roulettes a d ay that offer soldiery and cap it in 4-5 days, and thats not including getting it for all the other stuff. But myth is kind of a slow crawl. 20 myth for a Coil turn, is kinda lame, for example...

Obviously we saw the tome changes few weeks before 2.2 so ot was kinda hinting " hey guys! U might want to save up ur myth cuz you know.... It could be of use later...."
Now the myth drop rate became like what it was back at release if not worse.
So how much of a sting did that slap to ur face leave?

I'll agree that the myth drop rate is fine for the relic upgrade but it's a bunch of BS for the new 50s or people having to gear alt classes for the new coils cause it takes twice as long to get the gear as it did in 2.0. Either the myth costs of i90 need to be halved or the myth drop rate should be roughly equivalent to 2.0 philo drop rates.
Also, as it stands once people get soldiery capped there's no incentive for them to finish the dungeons so the way SE set this up I think we can expect to see a lot of people dropping (or initiating vote abandons) after the 2nd boss.
Soldiery is fine, Myth seems low given the incredible amount we seem to be required to grind out.
Ok, I get that with the new Relic upgrades, but Myth has nothing to do with that. They straight up reduced the amount of myth you get in some instances. There's no need for that. iLvl 90 isn't much anymore. It's required for the new coil and I assume the two new EM Primal fights, but theres access to that level gear already. Now, if you want Hero AF gear specifically, you have to grind longer and harder than just getting it in T1-5. Makes no sense to me...
This patch was about slowing progression. Especially since there is going to be new users on April 14 because of the PS4 release.
If you want myth tomes, the best place is not Coil, but CT (100 myth tomes) and the dungeons (50 or 30 myth tomes, depending on which), especially if you do Duty Roulette and have the extra tomes once a day for each group (80 extra myth for main scenario, 60 for the low level DR, 50 for the high level DR, 40 for the trials DR, I don't know for the expert DR.) Not harder to obtain at all, quicker in fact than it was, and with no weekly cap.
Coil is the one that gives less tomes than before, but you don't have the weekly limits you had. People were speaking of T4 going to be the best place to farm myth tomes, since it takes less time than a dungeon, and gave 50 tomes. Now, it takes less time than a dungeon but gives also less tomes. Even then, if it can go as quick as they said, it might be a good place to farm for experienced groups.
Actually the best myth farm is to form a four person party kill the first 2 bosses in a dungeon and then drop and requeue. that's less than 15 min for 50 myth as opposed to the more than 30 min you're going to spend in CT to get only 100 myth.
Edit: Btw 15 min in brayflox is with a wipe or 2. A slow progression puts you past the 2nd boss at 20 min which is still easily ahead of the 45 min CT average. I was killing first 2 bosses consistently with people I picked up from PF in right about or under 10 minutes.
Thanks, Jon. I didn't think of this at all. I've noticed that my playstyle has changed, because of the new content, roulettes and lock-out changes. I am actually getting myth a little faster. Its just hard to tel, because its dripping. But I got 150 Myth a week before in Coil, but so far I've made about 500. And the only myth from roulettes before was High Level which gave anywhere from 70 to 90 myth a day. Now its actually more...
CT still might come ahead in terms of Myth depending on how fast you can beat it. T4 is probably the best if you have a group that can farm it, but 45 min runs of CT is good for Myth. I'm not sure if you can get the same amount of Myth in the same amount of time doing the new HM dungeons.
FC was reporting Brayflox 1 & 2 runs in under 6 mins. 50 myth for that? Not ready to heavy farm that yet myself. >.<
