It also can reflect magic attacks too. Well not the same skill but its other one.
Melee DPS only pls. Looking for a quick kill.
OMG SE why do you hate ranged so much? You always make all of these fights that are melee friendly that nobody ever wants ranged for!
Imagining the ranged-only kiddos squirm brings me utter delight.
The video they have showed so far doesn't make it look very melee friendly either, so I'll just guess it's generally very unfriendly. xD
At least it's not Absorb like late game mobs in ff11 did during TP moves(like Shinryu) Now your mages and bards will wipe the group instead of make the fight take years!
About time melee DPS got some love.
Time to bring out the mage staff for some good ol' skull bashing.
I've got all DPS at 50 so I'm not worried. =P
Looks like SMNs finally have a reason to use Ifrit-Egi... for 1 fight.
It doesn't say if it reflects at the user or the whole party.
It's kind of important because, if the bard/blm nukes themselves to death, people just laugh at them.
If they wipe the entire party from their reflected shots hitting everyone, that will be particularly bad for duty finder/party finder groups. I'm sure most of you know the woes of tunnel vision players that expect everything to be easy-peasy in those random groups. Now they'd be able to kill everyone at once! lol
How does this affect ranged dps...? Guess what, you can stop attacking while the buff is up. Amazing, I know.
does anyone know what else is going on during this move? like whether or not theres something else for ranged to blow up?
no?
It's possible that this may occur at a time when melee are unable to reach leviathan aka when levi is jumping over the boat or moving from place to place. The Veil may come up to prevent range users from gaining an advantage over melee since DoT may still be active during that time, but if range were able to attack while melee can't then melee would be shafted in this instance.
Three cheers for MNK and DRG? Bonus points if Veil of the Whirl is a... *gasp* Removable Debuff.. TIME TO SELL MY SERVICES! jk.
Since ranged will be reflected does that mean they'll temporarily become a support class?
Mwahahaha
Let the range deal with what melee had to for Garuda and Ifrit. Can't wait to see all the "no melee" Levi EX fail parties (like on Titan Ex. Those still make me laugh)
it's funny, but as a mage main i'll do what mele should have done during the other fights. i know this is an off the wall idea, but it's one that may just work. if my mage isn't worthwhile in leviathan i won't cry and complain like the mele's did i'll just grab one of my mele classes that's already leveled and clear it with that. mind blowing i know.
So does that mean some range person can come in and troll the entire group at will if said attacks effect everyone? Lol
I might want to try 1 CS holy during that buff to see how it works out ;0
Cuz the most hp i'd be hit for is 700ish as i assume it'll only reflect the damage u have dealt and nothing more.
So attacks a certain distance from the boss will reflect damage? Or damage from a ranged class will get reflected?
It really isn't a problem for a ranged class to fight in melee.
That doesn't work, you can mage lb T4 all day and lol at no reflect from knights. Plus this probably only affects bards, because otherwise it would say "reflects magical attacks". (Much how knight/soldier worked in the past for T4) If it is for both ranged and magical it would say so.
If this reflect buff is anything like coil's turn 4 soldiers, the damage is reflected back onto the user of the attack, no one else. So no troll killing party, just trollin' yerself. In the case of aoes it seems it's still just reflected back at you.
