We are paying you for a game to play and enjoy. It's very hard to enjoy when we get spammed with RMT tells. Blisting them does no good. They just delete the char and create another one and spam you with that one. So what is the point in blisting?
You need to do something about this problem. It not getting any better.
1. Maybe set a level when someone can use the tell command.
2. Make it available when you join a ls or a fc.
3. Put some filters for certain type a text.
Just some ideas.

Please compare JP servers and NA servers. Make a temporary character in a JP server if you want. You will notice there is NO RMT spam. I have not received an RMT tell for over 3 months. There were lots of RMT tells during the first 1-2 months of the game, but it fizzled out after that.
Can anyone think of why? Because it obviously worked in JP servers. -

It's true that the account could be suspended, leaving the characters intact but unplayable - but I'd love to see SE delete all of the advertising characters from an account when it gets sanctioned. At least I would know that they're doing something, instead of just feeling like they aren't giving this problem enough attention.Quote:

Honestly it now takes 2 (!) button presses to block a rmt bot. I haven't seen a situation where that's not enough. Even an endlessly scrolling spam can be completely blocked in only 4 seconds.
Still I am suprised why they don't make the bans credit card info based. Even RMT can't get a new visa every 3 seconds. Just blocking the created character isn't enough. -

also JP dont play. u aggravate them and they will report it. EN players give up too often (myself included) due to the inconvenience of it all.
play a JP game and you will see that even if it took 30 mins to report someone.... it will be done. -

the level of tells seems to be increasing rapidly on Excal in the past few weeks. used to be if you were in Ul'dah it was spam city, then the other other cities, now it is out in the wilds like northern than.

As far as the montly billing goes, people are becoming more pragmatic and they're only willing to pay for the things that they want to use. There used to be no debate about this, since monthly billing was the only standard for MMORPGs, but now F2P is a consideration. We see this desire for players who would rather buy items especially in North America.
