Is this CT? If it is, it's probably a tank who doesn't want to do Bone Dragon and Thanatos and wants in on a group that lost a tank to KB so he can get easy myth by clicking towers and afking on Acheron. They'll constantly queue for in-progress and drop when its a new group, queue again, drop, queue, drop...etc.
It was CT. I know tanks that do that, but nearly 10 minutes straight of that error is ridiculous. If that really is just a few tanks re-queuing 40ish times before another came along... There should be a lockout after withdrawing from so many queues.
Normally it takes 6-10 tries to enter, but this... this is the most I've seen by a long shot.
Welcome to CT it's the best part:P
By far the worst part is queuing as a DPS for 90+ mins, weathering the constant A-Hole Tanks withdrawing, or people AFKing! YES and after 90+ F%^@$&ing MINUTES and get into a PiP and everyone vote disband, within a minute... THIS IS F&^*(^ING BULL SH\T!
I think the dps has their reason though. Well, when I tried queuing as dps, the average timer stated around more than 30 minutes. So I just grab a book and read while waiting, but then 10 minutes passed and the queue popped. If I wasn't around I would have missed the queue but you see, I think some dps just look at the timer and akf to do something else and probably come back around 20 minutes mark or something.
This isnt simply someone looking for a specific group, this is someone who is doing nothing more than Trolling the duty finder.
You'll find that a lot in CT, especially towards the end of the month.
Someone, somewhere, out there is getting a massive kick out of anoying people with things like this. Or pulling bosses when half the alliance is inside, or better, locking out fights so that they have to restart entirely. Not to mention things such as purposefully stepping off platforms on Atomos and seeing how far and often they can get away with it. And now with the ready check they have yet another tool to just anoy people endlessly.
So really, please dont shove this all on tanks and healers. It's just one jerk out there doing stuff like this.
And FC who want to play together do the same since SE is not planning an option to allow premade group.
Just need 5 minute ban from queue to people who withdraw. If you were afk , it wont matter, right?
Difference is, an afk DPS in the queue is usually promptly replaced by a different DPS, one that likely isn't afk.Quote:
For me, most of the time the queue fail because of dps and not tanks.... dps have long queue so they afk and do something else then miss the queue... i would say 80% of the time queue fail because if dps...
But those tanks that keep withdrawing on purpose? Tend to end up back in your same queue over and over and over and over and over and OVER.
It's easy to hit withdraw by accident, so I wouldn't do something like this for only a single "offense"Quote:

But when it's someone doing it over and over and over again in a short span of time? I'd be fine if they got locked out of the DF for the rest of the day, to be honest. It's blatant griefing and I don't see any reason to treat it any differently.
Actually they are planning to allow premades. The feature simple wasn't ready yet for 2.1, probably due to issues with alliance implementation outside of instances. If you're curious about it you can go put a question about it in the Live Letter General Questions thread if there isn't one already and see if it gets answered by Yoshi P.
Maybe, once pre-mades are implemented, SE will consider stricter limits on the DF.
5 withdraws in an hour would allow for "...I need to finish this quest" and "CRAP! I forgot I had to..." moments, but still prevent someone doing it endlessly. With a thirty minute or longer lockout, though, people would be less likely to withdraw, as it would take longer to wait out the timer than to do the first two bosses. With a 5/person limit, it would have taken 7-8 players to make that list in the OP.
Besides, if 3 of the DPS are afk, once the timer runs out on the pop-up, all three will be automatically withdrawn. With someone actually clicking the button, the afk players will remain in the queue until all other spots are full of ready players, and the cycle will start over.
I hear about these 90+min dps queues for ct, but on my drg I get groups faster than my whm...
To be more on topic yes, it's tanks. Someone on my server was complaining in /shout about it in mor dohna and no less than 4 tanks told him to deal with it.
Yet some people on forum are denying this kind of withdrawal.
You are wrong, you don't get how DF works at all do you?
Only tank can cause this kind of Duty withdrawal problem.
Yes, Dps and healer do withdraw from Duty, but that is not the issue we are discussing here.
They should just add an option to queue in progress only problem solved.
people who want to do in progress only will not be dropping queue and will also get into the in progress runs they are looking for anyway.
people who are waiting for full run will not be annoyed someone is constantly dropping and whoever they get actually will want to do the run.
Have an option in progress and in progress only.
if you select normal in progress works the same as now, select in progress only gives only in progress groups. Select nothing it gives only full runs.
What about those pesky DPS that just want to stand inside of a comet during KB so no one realizes they're not doing anything, or get hit by every AOE in Archeron so that they die to the point that Quake II one shots them, the healers give up, and they spend the rest of the fight on the floor?
Oh wait, that's me.
