Greetings. Why not to add to some parts of CT a challenge? A part with Atomoses, a part with bomb in a center? We all try to be the first killers in this dungeons part- to kill Atomos faster than other 2 parties, for example? And as a reward for wining- some more ToM, for example or another prize. Even very special and rear prizes- to make a special rolling for winning party or common prize for all. MAking such in-dungeon competition between parties will lead to:
1) Players will equip their best gear, but not their spiritbond gear
2) It will make dungeon more fun and interesting
3) Clearing the dungeon will be much faster
4) To achieve best result and to make balanced party for some such challenges players will create full party before using DF

Because racing in certain LoA sections doesn't exactly benefit anyone -
First to beat Atomos? You tend to step off your platform and stay off of your platform making it harder for the remaining parties to kill their Atomos.
Racing to kill the Batraals? That's cool, but that usually means you're ignoring your adds and thus killing off your two other parties and more than likely feeding the bomb too much and no matter how geared you are, constant add explosions ontop of the AoEs/direction attacks can and will kill off people pretty quickly if the healers end up dying.
I get what you're trying to suggest, but LoA really isn't the best place to reward people for speed running - SE got rid of Speed Running for a reason. -

If you want to get through LotA quickly, then you should be asking for changes that promote cooperative play, not competitive. The fastest/best runs I've ever been in have been where all the alliances helped each other out and weren't competing against each other. -

Except, LotA was designed to be accessible for people in ilvl 50 gear. Being ilvl 50 doesn't necessarily mean you're spiritbonding or what not. What about players who just hit lvl 50? If such a system were to be implemented, what you'd see is alliances checking out all their party members gear before the run even starts and then kicking those that can't help them finish first in DPS races. It'd make the content completely inaccessible for low ilvl players. It's not going to make the dungeon more fun but rather, it'd make it WAY more annoying IMO.

The best way to clear any group event is to work with your other players, not against them. If you see a party is struggling and your party is doing just fine, toss them a few extra heals or a raise to get them back on their feet, just for example.
I already see too many parties trying to "compete" with other parties in CT. The dungeon is 24 people vs. the enemies, not each party vs. each other. Anything to encourage parties bickering with each other even more than they do now isn't something I'd want to see. -

I tank Iron Giants flawlessly (which is something many tanks manage to fail to do with full i90) and do all of my Tank-related jobs without any problems. My DPS doesn't suffer much either, because I think a few turns ahead on what I should do.
