Thormarch unplayable since patch 2.16

PS3 ISSUE

Hello.
I found out that King Moogle Mog has become unplayable since patch 2.16.
Lag starts during the first cutscene's loading and gets worse once the fights starts.
The moogles don't even appear, so they are untargetable. Same goes for the King. They spawn like 2-3 minutes later than they are supposed to be.
I'm on ps3 and its lag issues are well known, but I have already cleared Thormarch several times before, without any problem at all.
Other PS3 player reported the same problem, either on this forum and in my FC.
So please, as this happens to be my favourite fight also, fix this issue. :(

I did Thornmarch yesterday with no problems whatsoever. Everything spawned and showed when they are supposed to. I am posting this not to discredit your issues, but to provide the the contrast between who it's working for and who it isn't working for.

To put all variables out there, I am on a PC.

I think it's a PS3 problem, as other people in FC on PS3 reported the same problem, sadly.

this is definitely a ps3 problem, and everyone i've played with is almost positive it has to do with the new aoe markers

it goes away after multiple wipes (probably more of the fight is cached by then?) so it feels like a memory management issue

thornmarch is just completely unplayable in its current state if you have even 3 ps3 users.

oh, i didn't mean to imply that it *was*! I was just saying that since it does go away after multiple wipes, it seems very likely that it's a memory management issue

Problems detected for ultima hard also being spikky, on ps3 with ssd.
Loading screens have increased and resurrection brought me into a loading screen?

I upgraded ps3 to a ssd samsung evo 840. This has started after the last patch that followed 2.16 for me.

Another PS3 user with the same problem. It was terrible, even the music stopped and started. Moogles were often invisible (and thus untargetable) and though my actions didn't seem to lag (it displayed damage etc) my character appeared to be doing nothing.

Have not done Ultima since the patch, but now I'm wary to :/

This is happening to me too, also on PS3. I've done Thornmarch as a blm dozens of times with no problems. Now I don't even see the second and third moogles at all. I can see other people fighting empty space though.

Also, when I cast spells, I'll usually just stay in the position with my wand being held back. I won't see any meters, so I'll just spam F1, then about 10 seconds later half of my mp is gone, but i never saw a cast animation, or fire animation hitting the target.

Also, the sound cuts out constantly. Others PS3 players I just tried this with were having the same issues too, and we had to abandon. Please fix what you just broke SE.

Me too @.@ Exactly the same.

i have the same problem when fight Garuda HM, Garuda refuse to appear after filing and summon chirada and suprana. please not the i have cleared Garuda HM hundred of time already but suddenly after 2.16. it become unplayable T^T. that sadddddddddddddd

I've had the same issue in CT on the last boss, claws haven't appeared and neither does hundred cuts. Only once or twice though so hoping they're isolated incidents.

Another Ps3 user with exactly the same problem. I'm from Phoenix server...
The game is unplayable this way, please do something.

PS3 user reporting in! Same problem.

I'd also like to add that The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 2 also seems to be suffering from this as of 2.16.

As for Acheron, that seems to be a seperate problem. I've had it once or twice, (before 2.16) but it's been fine many other times, whereas the Thornmarch problem is always in effect.

edit: Nevermind! x.x Just ran coil again on my alt and Turn 2 was fine. Seems like just Thornmarch then.
