Turn 5 was def harder tonight after 1.6

I understand there are some bugs for Twintania, and today practically speaking it really did seem like the T5 changes in 1.6 made it harder. My raid group has been farming her since november, so we have like 4 allagan weapons and we had a difficult time bringing the big snake fully down before Twintania came down with just 2 bar limit break.

We ended up just going three bar limit break and that ultimately fixed it.

On top of that, for the other healers who know Twintania inside out, did it seem like she was auto attacking more than usual? or doing it at more dangerous times? My MT (who is ilvl92 btw) was dropping much lower than usual.

Was just wondering if anybody else who has done Twintania since 1.6 came out noticed this as well.

What's 1.6?

what we noticed is a difference in her armors drops and her death sentences timing in the 2nd phase

There are other discussions ongoing about this, but essentially the changes were unintended and will be rolled back...

Farming for 12 weeks but only have 4 weapons? i92 is possible? Are you sure you're playing the same FFXIV as the rest of us?

someone can confirm Dreaknights now instantly knock theyr target back close to wall so they have maximum distance to run (nerf)???

i90 is current maximum even with allagan weapon.

Doesn't sound a lot like "farming" to me... Since you haven't been able to clear her most of the weeks, are you sure this isn't just another one of those weeks?

nov dec jan feb x 4 weeks each is 16 / 8 party members = 2 weapons each.

He was probably referring to main job weapons, which is dumb luck getting the ones you need.

The i92 thing however there's no excuse.

Nope, definitely not harder. It was rather easier in the phases you mentioned.

One thing I noticed though was that Liquid Hell in last phase targets the OT often, which makes it a bit harder for us who's using a single tank strat. and a Dragoon tanking the hatches or the God / Goddess of RNG just trolled us. It happened 3x in a row in our run, and cleared it at 4th.

Probably dumb rng, I've seen liquid hell on the same person 3x in a row. The melee took the chance to make a beautiful tapestry of ground aoes around twin.

the way u explaining is just so untrustable, trying to tell ppl that how good your team is and then bring up the 3 month farm, 4 allagan weapon, ilvl 92 gear blahblahblah, yes they are not the impotent point,but still ,untrustable to me anyway coz u are lying too much

Pretty sure you can go i91 with Allagan weapon (since it's i95), but yeah, 4 weapons in 4 months...... wasn't the world first done the last day or two of october?

Huh, I don't get what you mean. I have two jobs with allagan weapon and full i90 and I can't conceive of how you get that ilevel to 91 on either of those.

My drg has full i90 with spear at i90. My blm has sceptor and all i90 but darklight for 2 slots and it's at i87 instead of 86

Oh I see what you mean, yeah since the i95 is a bigger difference.

Well the twintania fight isn't essentially hard, it's just people screw up often/not good. Once you get a fixed formula going, any monkey can clear it. The unintended changes introduced in this patch just screwed up this fixed formula that worked for you guys that's why it felt harder. In essence, the fight actually felt little to no difference to me.

That would be rounding down. 13 slots, 10 of those i90, 2 i70, one i95. Average is 87.3.

Too lazy to math in this game, upgrading from darklight to myth adds 2 ilvl so that was how I basically measured it

In hindsight what I said doesn't really make sense since I only paid attention from i83 onwards so I didn't notice extra bumps along the way so I assumed we only had 10 slots

Yeah 13 slots, If you use a 2 handed weapon, it counts for both the weapon and offhand slots, so you count it twice. But yeah, Full i90 and an i95 weapon rounds down to 90 still. You would need another 8 ilvls to hit 91 and exactly 8 more would actually average out to exactly 91.

Not exactly. It adds 20/13 (approx 1.53) to your ilvl. So every other upgrade from DL to myth adds 2 ilvls, the others add 1.

iLVL is just the averaged gear rounded down instead of up (IE: 89.9 will still be 89 not 90), which kinda sucks.

Yet another individual who doesn't read before posting nor having any idea about T5 drops.
Edit: Allow me to repost this info again. If you have an i95 two handed weapon you can get to i90 with one piece of i80 gear equipped. If you have i95 Blm or pld weapon, this does not work.
I would post a screenshot to demonstrate but I'm 2002ing and pissed atm.

Twin is def auto attacking on top of a death sentence and instantly killing Ilvl 90 geared tanks. This type of game play is not fun and very frustrating. When 2.2 does hit, I hope this little problem doesn't come with it.

i92 damn lol hes dat pro i even have all i90 & i95 wep still i90 i must be missing something :P
