Just logged on and notices that they are really changing the look of this place.
Adding "The Seventh Heaven" which reminds me Of Tifa's bar from FFVII lol did SE run out of ideas of names for bars.
And all Summoning Bells
if we start seeing Market Boards I really don't see the point in going into town at all. Since i now spend most my time in Moh Dhona as a lobby queing to go into dungeons.
I can see them adding a rep from each Grand Company so we can buy actions next lol

Also this needs to be fixed a lot of people are having problems with switching targets on the PS3 and also Hot Bar problems from what i have read from shouts ever since 2.16 update.

I did your mistake, months ago when I was trying hard to get past Titan and I really forget the rest of the game. Now that people don't have to rely on shouts to get things done, I don't see any reason to hang around Revenant Toll than any other sanctuary in Eorzea.
Things being said, yes, some of these changed have been made two months ago, and from the way it looks the plan is to let us see Revenant Toll grow from a modest camp to a full fledged, indipendent city. Adding market boards and a market lane is the next obvious step in that direction (and there WILL be more steps, there are scaffolds everywhere suggesting the whole thing is still a work in progress).
Little note: as other have said, the Seventh Heaven is indeed one of the countless nods to the game's tradition (if FFXIV lacks something anyway, it's not names), but it might also be a reference to the Seventh Hell that is mentioned everywhere in the game's plot, possibly reinforced by the fact that the Scions eventually move their base in that very bar. Dunno, speculations. -

I'm pretty sure Mor Dhona is meant to be a player hub for lvl50s. I know nothing about FFXI but I've heard comparisons with a place called Jeuno there. IIRC Mor Dhona was always a "frontier" of sorts, it will probably be where you access Frontlines from.

from what i can see its been growing since 1.0. Now, I didn't play 1.0 but i saw vids, and outside Revanants Toll by the big stack of aetheryte, you can see an old destroyed camp. This looks just like the camp in the 1.0 vids. Then 2.0 came along with the new storyline. I think that with the victory against the empire, revanants toll will continue to grow. You can see where the buildings are getting taller, the back wall is getting cut out, and you can already see evidence of a marketplace about to sprout up. I would love to see the toll grow. Its not growing just because....its growing to follow along with the story. I wish i hadnt skipped most of the CS and conversations in the game.

Well the change is because of the current Storyline and Lore of Revenants Toll.
It is slowly being built into the new base of operations for the Scions and will continue to due so until the base is complete by the 1st expansion
We are to expect new buildings as the game gets closer to the 1st expansion and the size of the complete Revenant Toll is unknown. It may even expand big to be a new City or small town and some of those new buildings may even be New Class Guilds. -

No it didn't - the zone of Mor Dhona itself is still the same. The only thing that has been changed is Revenant's Toll has had some changes made to it, which are mostly cosmetic (more buildings have been added, many of which are still shown with scaffolding, trees and landscaping abound, complete with park benches, and even the vegetable garden that was formerly there is now replaced by a paved area that is still being tiled by workmen. And npcs in that city have been relocated too.
It's clear SE will continue to expand the town to become a real crossroads in Eorzea, so it's interesting to what more Yoshi-P's team has up their sleeves. ;) -

if you look to the side of the mender, by where they put the bells up, you can clearly see that a market is about to show up. I'm wondering if MorDhona is about to have the potential of becoming a city state.
