Garuda extreme: 3 pulls strategy ?

Hi all,

I read that there is some strategy with a 3 pulls when the sisters spawn. I am interested, so can anyone explain the strategy (or a link)?

There ya go.

Did it last night ( normally do 2 ways ).
Here is what we did.
when cyclone phase, MT hold Garuda at 11, OT hold Suprana at 1, Dps and Healers hold Chirada at 7.
Dps who tanks bring Chirada to very corner and turn her face off party, dodge Slipstream by running through her body when see the cast bar.
After Chirada downed, OT bring Suprana as near as the edge of cyclone for range dps at 7 to reach her (or some dps may run through the cyclone to 11 where Garuda is). That's it.

My groups been doing it for a few weeks now.

The basics of it is that in the cyclone phase, you want a DPS to pull Chirada to one end of the arena (we go to SE corner) while an OT pull Surprana to the opposite end (NW). The MT will already have Garuda and just has to move to one of the remaining safe corners (NE).

Notes for DPS + Heals:
- Chirada should be held as close to the wall as possible
- Downburst spreads its damage across targets, This can be handled a couple ways but my group will watch for an indicator to appear on the DPS tank and then everyone will stand on that person to take the hit.
- Slipstream must be dodged, walking through to her back usually accomplishes this
- LB when she is close to 50% health (This is to avoid the damage resistance buff that can come into effect once Suprana and Garuda Jump)

Notes for Tanks:
- Garuda may not be on the MT during the second round of this phase (due to the previous swap), either have MT provoke or have tanks swap positions to accommodate this
- Dodge slipstreams (duh)
- Keep Surprana close to the wall
- Focus on managing the Spiny (Received Damage is trivial and Garuda is immune to damage so there really isn't much else to think about here...)

No real reason to. No tornados splitting the arena. No Tornados also makes WW much easier to dodge. Plus the Columns would create problematic LoS issues for the healers in a 3 way split.

Two main reasons for avoiding double WW method: cooldown timers and spiny. PLD doesn't do double WW method as effectively due to 180s timer on Sentinel. Additionally, the double WW method has no real room for error with the spiny. If the OT loses it to the MT, Suparna will be stuck in range of Garuda's WW, which is bad news for melee DPS. Neither of these are in effect in the first sister spawn: PLD can even pop Hallowed Ground for the hell of it, and there's no spiny to deal with.

PLD deals with it just fine. I rarely play on PLD but every time I do, I pop Sentinel for the first WW, Rampart + Convalescence for the second one, back to Sentinel for the third and Hallowed Ground for fourth. You can just rotate through those CD instead of popping Inner Beast + Vengeance for every one of them.

There's a bit of a "bridge" connecting each safe-zone where the cyclones overlap each other.
If you run on the overlap you take no damage.

Oh, PLD can do it, it's just safer and easier on WAR. WAR has the guaranteed eHP extension of ToB and Vengeance for every double WW, plus the possibility of IB (assuming they don't jump and hit WW the instant they come back down, which can happen). PLD can only guarantee Rampart + Foresight for each one, so it's at least +71% eHP versus ~+35% (and you can add Foresight to WAR's as well if you want, but it's kinda wasteful since you're never going to need it). PLD with just Rampart up can be within a few hundred HP of death without healer shouldering the load; WAR isn't going to drop below 3000 and probably not below 4000 for every double WW.

At most double WW will bring my PLD to about half hp. It's really not an issue and you can have a CD up for every one of them.

In fact I can take double WW with no CDs at all so I don't see what the problem really is. I guess an ilvl 70 PLD with rampart up will be close to death?
