The price of chocolate is .. distressing

I don't know about other servers but on Malboro bitter heart chocolate is selling for 7000 gil and pure heart chocolate for 2500.
That is ridiculous.

How is a bitter heart worth more than a pure heart?! Have we learned nothing from Sailor Moon!?!?

Fortunately we had people all over Limsa shouting for short time hookups. Women and men looking to exchange the woman's purity for bitterness after a short, commercial exchange. And then removing their clothes in public. It was truly a .. touching .. scene. So thank you to that guy whose name I have already forgotten.

On another note, why is Yellow Rose at the weaver's guild? She should be headlining at the Bismark! Her admirers demand no less!

Weird enough on Balmung the Pure one is more expensive (or at least was yesterday, prices fluctuate). I bought my bitter for 1900g and sold my pure leftovers for 2500g each.
I really think it's a matter of population, of course if there's so much less males bitter will be much more expensive. The sad thing is this event - I guess - was supposed to be done by finding people to trade with...while it's mostly market board. At least, I stood in Limsa for a while, asking for someone to give me his thing...erhm chocolate...but had to resort to buying in the end.

In Masamune, on the first night of the event, bitter was going at 5k gil, pure at 900gil. Not sure how it's going for now.

This is what happens when a majority of the game's population is made up of catgirls (and other females).

I should probably check what bitters are going for now on my server. Not really that interested in using them for anything else, so might as well make some money off them.

Haha the bitter heart fund has been good for me. When I went to check the prices for them on my server all of them were going for 9k+ except for one stack of 5pcs that I bought for 900gil a piece. I've already sold that stack at 9k/each.

In prime times it's easy enough to trade, but I will throw mine on the board at night b4 I go to sleep and no matter how many under-bidders there are mine gets sold and the price re-fluctuates back to around the 9-10k area.

It's like the people late at night/early am went to Vegas. True Love? Meh, I can just buy the certificate...

Huh. When I did the event on opening day it was ~9k for a bitter and ~900 for a pure. Interesting to see things flip around like that.

Sargatanas: Pure 800gil, Bitter 6.5k. I made a good 20k, the clothing can wait when price plummet.

Y'all are (mostly) too serious. By referencing Sailor Moon and Yellow Rose I was hoping for some silly/amusing responses.

Interesting numbers about the split of character genders. I tend to agree with the 'fewer men interested in the Valentine event' approach since over half our FC is male characters but many of them have not done the event.

Me bitter? If you look at Valentione's 'off camera' dialogue, she is clearly the bitter one and is pushing her view of romance onto the character because she is so distressed about her own lack thereof.

I think everyone should do what I did yesterday - create a new male character to complete the Valentine event. Get all the bitter chocolate you can. Then sell it all! Overwhelm the markets with bitter chocolate to send the prices plummeting! Only when Eorzea is overwhelmed by bitterness will people see how truly worthless bitterness is!

Prostitution for chocolate. That is absolutely hilarious. On Tonberry there seems to be surplus of females and not enough males, so bitter is worth more than pure.

I had an extra bitter from a trade and sold it for 10k to someone who was clearly hoarding them for a flip. I dunno if his gamble paid off but in happy.

I sold my extra bitters for 10k

first day of event on sargantanas a FC member put one up for 99k to find after a hour or so it had sold was very entertaining ive recently sold mine for anything from 5-10k

Does Ul'dah have restaurants? Maybe some of her dishes could be offered as "prizes" at the Platinum Mirage. Or offered for free to the Monetarists. That would clear up the corruption issues quick.

When I eat a big chocolate hunk, I break it into pieces first. Maybe that's what they were trying to do? *innocent*

And there's no way you could be bitter chocolate. You sound too sweet!

Although I could make some easy gil off my last piece of Bitter (was 20k each last night), I will save it in the hopes that perhaps, one day, I might find that special someone :P
