Getting sick of playing in groups that quit instantly after 5 mins is up .
Can they please add a show who started VOTE so we can kick them out of group for being losers ?
Or at least just kick out the players who voted not the entire group .

Huh, a complaint on General Discussion I agree with. Getting tired of the 1 wipe = vote abandon attitude that seems to be prevalent among DF groups.
This will never happen. You're asking this of the company that doesn't allow you to send tells in dungeons because they didn't want people being rude to each other.
Just click no when someone tries that vote? Let that person leave and take his 30-minute lockout or something. If enough people are voting to end it, then there must be some merit behind the vote in the first place. If you're talking non-CT stuff, chances are pretty likely that you won't get replacements in a timely fashion to make up for half of the group wanting to leave anyway.
Actually every df group I have done titan extreme on because a healer or something ends up dying and we kinda have to wipe, it happens every run :/.
I don't think many people queue in progress for Titan EX, so chances are someone leaving would end the run anyway. :/ I really don't like the vote abandon option just on principle, but SE does what SE wants. Adding the name of the person initiating an abandon vote would just incite pointless drama.
aren't vote supposed to be anonymous? :p
Had a CT run earlier tonight where this exact same thing was happening. One wipe on bombs? Vote Abandon. Another wipe? Vote. Behemoth wipes? Vote vote.
One person was loudly complaining and swearing in alliance chat, too, and when they dropped group the votes stopped... coincidence? I think not.
The point being that people will probably just leave if they can't get the group to quit with them. Let them eat their just desert...er debuff.
Yeah give someone veto rights that will make "abuse" impossible and people will never come crying to the forums again for sure.
meh this is getting beyond a joke . was a lot more fun just lvling up 15-50 running dungeons . no one quit , had a few wipes and everynow and then an decent item dropped that was good . This end game is really badly designed. My sub runs out soon so I will be seriously thinking bout quiting like 1000s of others I guess .
Can't say I agree with removing the anonymity of any of the vote systems in place now, much less the Abandon vote. Yes, it's come up in some of my dungeon runs but have all failed and the runs continued as normal. Yeah, I think it's annoying to even have come up, but can't account for everyone all the time. Someone's going to be unhappy with something every time. Just live and let live, keep on keeping on. Guess I'm just too patient, but a little patience goes a long way...
Wow, getting old, aren't I...
Make vote abandon available after 1/2 hour of duty start?
The reason i'm for it is because ive been in an alliance where the vote got rejected and a bit after someone else or the same person clicks the same button, and again and again, its reallyannoying. Should be a kind of time out for a few minutes.
Yes. This is indeed the spirit of democracy.
Stomp the rebellion and opposition, muffle their cries as they smother to death.
Being serious, while maybe making the voter public is bad, we should atleast have a CD on the thing. 5 mins for regular dungeons and 15 mins for CT (totally arbitrary numbers). Obviously applied to the player that started it, a different player may initiate a new vote.
This would pretty much prevent this, atleast, help it. I don't know if it's not there already, as I've only seen one vote abandon (I dont really do duty finder often).
Reason why this particular vote popped up? Someone got their piece of loot, or the thing they wanted didn't drop, so they proceeded to start one, since no one accepted they dropped.
Actually had this issue in Ultima today. We had a single whipe as people started to get used to it, and instantly -> A member has voted to abandon the duty.
Me, the paladin, and the two healers laugh it off, instantly shooting it down. We give it another go, get a bit further but still whipe -> A member has voted to abandon the duty.
Ok, we're still laughing, though getting annoyed now. We just keep going, and point out that if they don't want to be here, "They can leave or ask to be kicked, but don't bring the rest of us down with you."
Another run, another whipe, vote to dismiss duty. Again shot down, as we got substantially further. We point out again to please leave if you don't want to be there, but silence.
We run it two more times after that. The first one is a whipe due to Ultima casting Ultima, so a slight DPS check. No vote dismiss that time! the second time was a clear, and a success. Had that person had their way, no one would've gotten a victory - but on that day, we got a Black Mage ring. :3
I don't really see the point of adding a feature that circumvents the punishment of leaving by ruining it for everyone else with only 50% votes.
Maybe I'm not seeing the main focus here.
The biggest problem that I have with vote abandon is that I feel like once those votes have started, the team is probably broken. I know at least one person doesn't want to be there anymore. I can't be sure how they're going to handle having the vote rejected; they could start trolling instead.
I think the problem is 50% isn't enough . Half the people leave pissed off having wasted so much time waiting in ques to get into the game in the first place only to get practically booted out after 5 mins of playing.
