Titan HM woes

Hi Sargatanas.

I'm a WHM. I'm also a 30-something player with a kid who plays fairly casually in terms of pace and belongs to a really small friends & family FC. I didn't have a relic pre-2.1 and started trying to get it the week the patch hit. Initially my latency was getting me hit by landslides and plumes. I forked out for Pingzapper (it works pretty well, BTW! If you're suffering with lag give it a shot and you can use me as a referrer - squidbunny - for a free month) and stopped getting hit by landslides and plumes ... only to realize it didn't really matter as DF groups or groups I was joining or putting together weren't managing to break the heart. Or! If they wiped they tended to fly apart and I was back outside looking for more dudes. It's getting harder and harder to get a group to stay together to try and progress through the fight as everyone's moved on to the Extremes, DF is letting me down when I can get a queue at all, and I've spent countless hours in the DF or the party finder and countless hours wiping to Earthen Fury and I'm getting super, super discouraged. I don't feel like this should be this impossible to get through.

Like I said I don't play as much a lot of people and I'm in a FC with friends so I'm not looking to switch to a bigger, serious FC. I also don't want to (and can't afford to! :p) be carried, per se: I'm in a mix of myth/DL/CT gear -- iLvl 71; not super but adequate to the task -- and I can guarantee my survival through the Heart (can't past that because I've practically never seen it, let alone practice it! ;)).

Can anyone help me out or offer some guidance or encouragement? Sooo hacked off at this fight and feeling increasingly crappy about my lack of a single relic.

maybe i can help you after work ;D i dont know if i can get people from my ls to help you too but.. I dont think most of them wouldnt.. is just 8 miinutes or so of a fight...

the thing is... my work time is over in about 12h... and i will only be home around 30 or more time after that.. so ... if by then you still didnt get it over send me a tell by that time ;D

If I'm on and not doing something with FC (might be a raid going on) I can help out. I'm on around 4:30pm PST. Might be able to drag my wife along to heal it as well. ;o

Either way keep trying, you'll get it. My wife used to think Titan HM was the hardest fight ever and she'd never finish it, but she went back recently and helped some people and practically solo healed it. She was snickering to me that she ever thought it was hard. Just takes practice!

Did you beat Titan HM yet?

Beaten tonight with a Party Finder group (good group; I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's names offhand to thank individually) and Traek's incomparable help! I derped and ate a landslide post-heart on the successful attempt ... right after one of the DPS D/Ced! 6-man win no thanks to me! Totally epic and I'm super grateful.

You rock, Traek, and Sargatanas generally.

Had to run because my kid woke up before actually grabbing my relic, though; can't wait to get back on and pick it up.

Glad I could help, and congratulations again. Happy we could beat your bad luck! Was fun doing something on whm again, hadn't been on it since pre 2.1 I just realized. Lol
