can someone please identify these characters

Who are the top two characters on each side?

I know from Kaze and Makenshi onwards but above them i dont know those four characters.

From Left to right we have:
Chaos, Brandt - FF The 4 Heroes of light
Makenshi, Kaze - FF Unlimited
Ultima or St.Ajora, Ramza (not sure which one, never played tactics before) - FF Tactics
Cid Raines, Snow - FFXIII
Vayne Carudus Solidor, Ashe - FFXII
Garland, Warrior of light - FF
Seifer, Squall (Finally someone for Squall to dual in gunblade combat, stuff ultimicia) - FFVIII
Seymour, Yuna (kill it with fire) - FFX
Genisis, Zach/Zack (if u want the proper Japanese translation or retail English translation of his name) - FFVII Crisis Core

And lastly

Stella Nox Fleuret and Noctis Lucis Caelum - FFXV

On the left i mean the grey haired girl in red and the purple gold mechanical looking thing up top and on the right im mean the blonde hair girl/boy in purple armor and the grey haired young male that looks like he is a freelancer job class

The grey haired woman in red clothes is Ultima from Final Fantasy Tactics. The blonde boy is Ramza from the same game.

Hopefully Ultima gets a dress like Terra... and don't shows her butt like her original clothes.

then i would assume the purple armor blonde hair is the main hero of tactics Ramza

The guy with the red hair, black cloak and golden gun is from the absolutely horrible Final Fantasy Unlimited anime. He shoots out summons with that gun. And likewise, the guy opposite him with the sword and white hair is also from FFU. /sigh

Yup, FF:U. Final Fantasy Unlimited. Anime from 2001. I enjoyed it. But it was different.

The picture on the left seems to be villains, the pic on right seems to be heroes I know that much

Is it me or do I not see Terra? Blasphemy!!!!

The topmost characters are from Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.
Villain - Chaos
Hero - Brandt

Hope they include some FFXI and FFXIV characters...

Lack of terra and kefka makes me sad but ramza and (what I think is ultima) gets up upmost approval

i have seen that image passed around a lot since dissidia 012's release with people fantasising there dream team for the fan idea of "disidia 011" or dissidia "014"

also dissidias creator did say that dissidia 012 was the final one before they made theatrhythm and since the article linked dosnt say much i don't think theres a dissidia 3 :( which makes me sad

as for on topic awnser i be leave there from final fantasy the 4 heroes but i can't remember the name of them but i think above me has said the names

The guy with the gold gun is from the Final Fantasy anime. Forgot his name but I reckon he's a summoner who uses different colored bullets to identify which esper/eidolon/guardian force/primal he summons. Looked it up and his name is Kaze from Final fantasy unlimited.

There's Snow too and the counterpart, if I'm not mistaken, is Cid Raines.

White haired chick with wings on the Villan side is St. Ajora (however you spell that name)

Basically...Jesus of the FFT world, use the Zodiac stone of Virgo to possess Ramza's sister.

It's fan art. Lot's of people imitate Tetsuya Nomura's style. Don't forget how legit the fake Kain and Lightening announcements were as DLC characters for the first game. The article tells you there's no official roster yet, which should be enough to tell you that's fan art.

Another clue as to how that's fan art: Stella and Noctis are on it. Why didn't they put Lightening in the first game? The official reason was because they didn't want to create any preconceived notions about her fighting style, i.e. they didn't want to spoil the FFXIII battle system or story in any way.

You're third clue: They wouldn't announce that many characters so quickly.

1 -Not arguing or anything but, we know this is mostly fanart as news sites that don't have a official picture/video to go with there article actually use turn to such art, its just how media works.
2 -Stella and Noctis could very well be in Dissidia 3, they never said when it will be released or how far along the developing of it is going, it could very much well come out around or after FFXV is released.
3 -Like you said, It is fan art, I merely posted this picture because i was wondering who the top 4 characters where, then edit the OP an hour later with the link to where i got the picture from because some people where inquiring about its origin.

If anything everyone should be taking that article with a grain of salt, as it seemed to of only been published on the lesser unknown news sites rather then the mainstream, and something like this the mainstream should of picked up on too which is why its a bit weird they havent.

i read it over and looked at this countdown website that has been announced by SE with the date 1.8 which could mean the 8th of january (if we go mm/dd) but it could mean the 1st of august and since it is a well known japanese mobile company SE have paired with for this thing my hopes of a dissidia 3 go lower but on the upside the news article might be far off but they are right about there being a new game soon

I don't care if this is not going to be a thing, I still squealed like a little girl when I saw Kaze and Makenshi. I would be so ecstatic to see them in a game.
