I hope I can un-unlock Copperbell Mine and Haukke Manor (HM)

these new dungeons are a waste of time. the rewards are not worth doing since it's harder than the old dungeons. now I'm getting these dungeons in Duty Roulette, teaming up with those people in AF1 and they'll leave as soon as they got their first wiped.

please raise the iLevel cap for these dungeons or let me abandon the right to enter them.

How high do you want the ilvl to be, they only drop Ilvl 60 gear?

haukke manor is ridiculously easy

They're easy, even with first timers and fresh 50s.

You just haven't ran it 10,000 times yet so its still 'hard'. Its literally no harder than pre-nerf AK.

I think Its more of a skill thing then gear, I'm i83 and wiped once in copperbell cause I did not understand the first boss mechanics, but I got it down the second time, its more of a skill thing really.

the only one of the three that are remotely hard is pharos sirius, ive done a haukke manor in under 20 minutes and copperbell was a bit more than that. Maybe you should look in the mirror and see if its you before deciding they are just "too hard".

And even if they take longer than the average run, if you're doing roulette I'm going to assume its for your daily myth bonus, which is worth a little extra time, where else can you get 90 myth anywhere between 20 and 40 mins?

I personally wish I'd get the three new dungeons more often, even if they are harder. I cry every time I get Wanderer's Palace.

'sides, I've never had so dreadful runs in the new places that it would be faster to go do 3 Wanderer's Palace runs instead.

Haukke and Copperbell are more fun than the other dungeons on Roulette high >.>. I hate it when I get WP or AK.

I dont hate WP or AK as 70 myth for them is pretty good too. But the new dungeons are fun fun fun !

I haven't actually done Copperbell hard yet, but Haukke manor last boss is a dps check, however it drops iLvl 60 gear, therefore it should be doable in full AF, unless of course all content should only be possible in full iLvl 90 gear.

I can definitely see where the OP is coming from. Just recently, I've had all three that resulted in wasted time. Copperbell Mines, under geared healers that couldn't keep me alive during the first boss due to DPS that couldn't kill adds fast enough, causing me to have to pull the whole bridge at once.. which is fine if you have a good healer. But, a fresh 50 in 50/55 gear? In Haukke, I've had tons of wipes on the first boss and the 3rd. If you the group has two under geared DPS, good luck trying to beat the 3rd bosses adds before she wipes the party with blood rain or whatever. And Pharo Sirius... I don't think I've ever had a group that didn't wipe at least a few times on the first and last boss. Especially Siren... I've had healers in AF2 not be able to heal/esuna well enough to finish that fight.

When I'm trying to get the HL-R done for the day, I'd much rather get WP or AK. I know that my time will net me the tomes. With the other three, you may get tomes or you may get an hour+ full of wipes followed by rage quitters. Nothing like wasting over an hour in one of the three new dungeons only to never finish it and then have to queue up again for the daily.

Because un-unlocking is a thing likely to happen ever. -_- Come on man. Really?

I've resorted to doing CT for my Myths. It's usually no more than an hour's worth of work for 200 philo and 50 myth. May not be the most efficient way but I really don't like the new dungeons (especially in DF) and I don't do speed runs.

It is doable, but may require DPS to actually use DPS food if their ilvl is near the minimum required.
Why more people don't increase their chances of success by using appropriate food is beyond me...

Funny thing about Siren, is it's people who can stun/silence that make their job harder if they don't stun/silence Lunatic Voice.

Haukke Manor Hard spam gives pretty good myth per time spent. I personally like it better than WP spam...

I got Haukke HM on Duty Roulette last night. 30 minutes later I walked away with 90 Myth.

Not getting Lunatic Voice stunned/silenced makes life miserable for me as a healer...
While it's probably possible to live through that with leech/esuna, there is no reason why I should work that much harder when it's totally preventable.

Yup, just stunning or silencing Lunatic Voice turns it from night to day if you will.

They should make them harder and drop level 75 gear.

Right now I'm not using the duty roulette because of them. I only queue for one after I capped and don't care if everyone quits.

The new dungeons with the exception on Pharos Sirius are all quite easy, its just that not everyone has done them a million times to the point where they could do the fights with their eyes closed. Given time, everyone will learn the fights and they will feel just as easy as WP/AK. But, until then, explaining the fights is about the only way for a DPS to legitimately get commendations.

Considering both are worth 50 myth tomes (90 if using daily roulette), they are very much worth your time.

The 90 myth on roulette is nice, but still...it seems to me they should have made them higher ilvl than what they are (to enter and drop wise).

They are fun though.

People just need to learn the new dungeons. I remember at launch when most people struggled with AK. The new dungeons aren't that much harder than pre-nerf AK. Its just most people have done AK/WP so much they can do those with their eyes closed, whereas the same can't be said for the new dungeons. Practice makes perfect.

If all you care about is quick, easy, effortless myth: set up speedruns of WP in party finder. Guaranteed 10-12 min runs without any potential headaches from DF people is a lot faster (and more reliable) myth than playing roulette.

There are still people getting stuck on the Demon Wall... In particular people that levelled up alt classes using FATEs before 2.1 and only now start to play them for "real". Can be quite a horrid experience still with people that haven't learned to play their class/job properly.

I personally prefer Haukke Manor HM, Copperbell Mines HM or Pharos Sirius for the high level duty roulette.

With coil and ct, I ended up capping myth without using roulette most of the time. I've won haukke hm once (FC), copperbell twice (random), pharos once (FC), failed pharos twice and copperbel and haukke once each (all with randoms) since 2.1 release. They're okay dungeons I guess but some fights I dont really like.

Copperbell first fight sucks. Like, the fight feels off mechanics wise. Siren also sucks, my main issue with her is that her dashing attacks, I feel like she blends with the walls too much that by the time i finish spinning around to locate her if she doesnt teleport back to the center, it's already too late. With garuda normal or ifrit, you can quickly tell where they teleport back in and charge up the dash. Her dash wideness is also too wide. As for haukke, the 2nd boss's attack pattern eventually feels like it's random and you just end up brute forcing it. As for the last boss, well, it's okay but I'm not entirely sure if an i55 weapon group can pass the DPS check.

A few days ago I joined an Haukke Manor HM roulette, it was me as paladin, 2 bards (one mostly equipped with AK equip + some DL, the other one with WP pieces mainly), and a white mage.
The white mage dropped as soon as the dungeon started <.<, but luckly a scholar joined right after.

It wasn't easy, the DPS wasn't high and, since we weren't killing the bosses fast, I noticed things that I wouldn't have done with an high DPS party. We died a few times at the first imp boss until we understood that putting 3 skeletons together would make the knight skeleton pop if they were in the same circle of light that appeared on the floor. On the last boss, after few wipes, the bards understood that they had to manage the buffs and use them on the adds so that the AOE wouldn't wipe everyone, I had to use w/e LB I had and the scholar used sacred soil to protect the bards who didn't have a lot of HP after the boss eat the last add with still few HP on.
It took almost the whole time available to complete, but it was a fun run nonetheless.

tl;dr
The iLevel is ok, it can be a challenge but doable.

I love getting Copperbell or Haukke. They're easy, fast, and give a nice 90 tomes.

Pharos is the worst of them all, but it's far from hard if people know what to do.

Why even do the roulette? Haukke HM can be done in 25 minutes or less with a competent group versus 45+ minutes with an inexperienced/undergeared group. I've been just speed running it to cap myth after I get my CT loot, assuming I haven't capped my myth there since it never drops tank loot for me.

This has to be the biggest QQ thread I have seen on the forums to date.

Copperbell I've found simple in comparison to the other two. I'm not as punished for having latency like I am in Haukke, and I've never managed to get past Zu in Pharos Sirius. I've beaten Copperbell both times I've been rouletted into it.

It's not really a cry thread when it's a legitimate thing. These dungeons aren't hard at all if you have a decently geared group (ilvl 60 plus). But, since fresh 50's get dumped into these dungeons regularly, it can make for some very frustrating and fruitless runs. I had one Haukke Manor were the DPS couldn't even down one of the two adds that spawned (second set of adds). So, she would eat the second one, with full life and we would wipe. We did this over and over until the healer finally gave up (I even helped DPS and they still died sooo slow). I dropped too at that point as the group just didn't have the DPS required to complete it. The ilvl needs to be bumped up to maybe 58-60 for each of these. Fresh 50's would have to do the MS Roulette and HL Roulette (AK/WP only) and buy a few pieces of DL before these could be accessed.

I agree with Ver, I have an Ilvl 75 blm and ilvl 78 whm and both of them when paired with some fresh 50's I feel like my self and the one other relic holder have to carry the group. On the Haukke hm I've had times I've had to dps and heal the whole fight just to get us through. Haukke and PS should be min Ilvl 60 avg to enter those are my thoughts . . .

pharos is a bit overtuned and maybe should drop a bit higher lvl gear. haukke and cbm are pretty decent tho. im actually enjoying the step up in difficulty.

I have a question about Haukke HM, specifically about the last boss. I've beat it four or five times now, but it seems like every time I get a player saying some weird strat; 'Amendine and the main boss need to die at the exact same time or its an insta-wipe!' 'kill the two maidservants at the same time or its a wipe!' what is the deal with this? Seems I've done it a few times different ways, focusing on the add first etc, and the 'strat' wasn't necessarily true. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Also, if you kill the adds fast enough, she won't get buffs, right? Could've swore my first run I was able to stun her well after the first add, but now no matter how quickly we kill the add, it seems to always give her the 'silence/stun immunity' buff.

The number of people advocating a minimum ilvl requirement equal to or higher than the gear that drops is hilarious. The minimum level is not designed so that you can have a casual, flawless run with every group.
