Does anyone know? There's DAT files in the game for these classes already, but they just choose to not implement them? Has there been any official word at all?

HOw do you read these dat files??
You'll see them soon enough. :)
(Over there)
Yoshida has already said that they won't implement any new classes until all the battle system and class revisions that they have planned are completed and polished.
Really? That's a downer, considering they are basic classes that were (assumedly) intended to be in the game at launch. They even have their own guilds, and DAT files for abilities and animations in the game.
>< at least they should add musketeer
And most likely but not confirmed after the original job implementation as the others are Skills, but they want to, currently focus on Jobs.
TAME i dont know if you're just guessing these dats or using someone elses, but from personal examination there is only 4 guns and 4 Arc weapons (all same model, dif textures). Theres no gear or skills, there is not even any animations for them. There is class quest data though.
technically, most of us have seen MUS, and if you've been lucky, an ACN has casted Haste and Boost on you.
Well Arcanist isn't exactly basic. In the dat files there's also data for Bard, which is for an NPC, so it's not a full indicator for the ones missing a guild and physical weapon typethat it's even playable classes because in the dats monsters have usable abilities, doesn't mean we're controlling them anytime soon.
Hell I go through data even further than most have and I'm not seeing any TT indicators of additional classes in the dats currently. XIV has a funky setup compared to XI.
What makes me really sad is that they're not going to include the Shepard class. All that tantalization for nothing, curses! Now I'll have to go out and kill things for my skins. ;3
Don't forget there are also Dragoon NPCs. I found them. They're from Ishgard (identifiable by their red armor).
SE says : We'll look into it.:p
Edit : Even better SE says those classes are gm only lol.
I get the feeling that the original game was to have content released monthly to keep people interested, but with all the complaints over the games core structure and Tanaka's resignation as a producer, that plan was thrown out the window.
Here's hoping they add in Fencer.
ACN - You can hear A Chocobo Noise when you adjust your sound setting sliders.
MYS - Marauder's Yell Something when you use the cheer emote.
WRD - I am not sure why Wyverns Run Diagonally, but it seems it is part of their attack patterns.
MUS - It is indeed a good point to point out, that Many Uldans Sew. The Weaving guild is here afterall.
The guy in Owl's Nest isn't a "Final Fantasy" DRG.
That guy was a dragoon, as in mounted infantry.

Just so happens to be a purple-armored LNC who rides a chocobo.
I'd like to point out that the list that was released on Kotaku and other sites that was claimed to be from Datmining listed a bunch of information that is released to the public that was wrong that could reflect that it was fabricated.
Those things were things like listing the wrong names for things like Gladiator in Japanese which is wrong on that list.
The most obvious reason seems to be: Why release more broken classes that the Devs will have to go back and fix again, just like all the other classes in the game right now? They would just be creating more work for themselves in the long run. Maybe they will flesh these classes out while they balance the rest of the classes.
They are ghosts in the machine.
