i joked about doing this. it's obvious people would do this, how SE didn't see this coming amazes me.
Lol yes faith. Faith that the "average" gamer would stay in a group which SE FORCED him to pug without the slightest chance of gaining from the rest of the dungeon.

Loot cap makes no sense, if you're going to cap anything then cap the run like in BCoB.
After I get my 1 item for the week what incentive do I have to finish the run with a pug?
Personally I would stay for the fun of it, but some people, there's a reason why there's little faith in humanity.
I hope this doesn't become a thing, I've found Crystal Tower to be entertaining from both tank and healer perspectives. Ran it multiple times after getting my royal vest simply because I liked the dungeon.
And all those philo tomes + 50 myth is always a bonus.

I left once I got my loot. Found myself with people who cannot even answer a simple "hello" or questions asked in the party chat. I would stay with friends/FC mates. But I'm not gonna stay just for the sake of it, if I find myself with unsocial people. It is selfish, but I wanna have fun or get something outta it, so if there's none of these two... well, leaving is only natural. It's a game after all. Hopefully people should become more friendly once the commendation system gets a bit more love =)
My first run went fine, no one left and we won pretty easy. Why people want to leave after getting a piece is beyond me, the point of the game is to play it right, not sit around town in gear? I had a great time in the dungeon and really enjoyed the fights. Plus you get a decent amount of philosophy to.
This will be a problem later in the wek after most people have already received their 1 item per week and therefore have no incentive to go back.
I see this as ridiculous, put a cap on how many times you can get loot from the bosses, but not for the dungeon as a whole, that's just asking for people to leave.

Anyone who drops is almost always replaced within seconds on Hyperion, so NOBODY cares.
In my run tonight, people were dropping like flies, and it took a long time to replace everyone. We nearly timed out because of all the waiting around.
Please remove the weekly loot cap. Stop giving an incentive for this sort of behavior.
Weekly cooldown is awful, agree. Maybe make it shorter- 2 days, for example, and add information about cooldown in TIMERS menu

They need to not release your chosen drop until after the dungeon is cleared. Pretty simple fix. No reason to release any lock outs or caps. If you get what you want on tbe fiest boss, it should go into "reserving item" until the tower is cleared.
Alternately, they should just lift this stupid restriction and put CT on a 2 to 3 day lock.
I haven't done CT yet, but yeah I can see how this is a bitch to deal with.
Blame Square Enix. They implemented a system where there is no incentive to stay around and help random people you don't know once you get your stuff. People will stick around with their FCs and LS's, but the one item a week, period, system is a horrible implementation.
Just to let you know, I saw that crap a MILE away, same thing happened with WoW in raid finder, people would get to a boss, kill it and if the boss didn't drop the loot what they wanted or if people got what they wanted, they would leave.

they got loot but still continue dungeon so we always have fun
Maybe they knew no one would queue CT if they had to put up with the crap some players try to put other players through just to get some crap loot.
I've run CT twice.
Every time we get to King Behemoth there is an idiot tank who thinks rotating the tanks is going to make a difference. Every time I get into CT, there is a player in Darklight gear who thinks they can perform my role better than I can.
It's basically the equivalent of World of Warcraft's LFR. But at least it's actually a different instance and not rehashed content with a lower level of difficulty. I'll give it that much.
I cannot believe anyone would do this. It is completely ridiculous.
Are people really complaining about this? We knew this would happen, SE has to have known this would happen. They could have easily not released loot until the end of the run but they chose not to implement it that way. In any case CT is easy enough to clear short handed and you can always get replacements.
Guys, I think you are underestimated people's manners in Japan. It's easy to forget you're dealing with the comparatively scumbag Freedom market.
It's a turn off, between 1drop a week/people leaving after drop/team play/people are better then you stigma/and to many tanks imo.
My 1st CT wasn't a big deal going as dps in Df, I just killed stuff hoped for loot.
My 2nd run was a /sh that was shouting for awhile and being bored i was like ok guess I'll go for the hell of it. We got to the 1st boss and group A insisted they where the main tank party. With there pld sporting AK/DL/Ifrit mix maybe ~5.3k HP, while all the other tanks had much better gear. After bone dragon bouncing on dps they decided to let there AF/ifrit mix war tank the 2nd boss after dieing/wipeing. I just pretty much forced hate over group A and made myself MT KB/last boss.
I'm ok with letting other's MT I was just annoyed by how they tanked. But even then why have a 5.3k HP Pld MT over a 6.9k HP Pld?
I have encountered the same issue. This week I have completed CT FULLY 4 times and I have yet to see a healer drop. That being said I have actually went into CT about 10-11 times in which after certain bosses or items obtained parties would leave after getting loot whether they que together to help their friends out or what....kind of sucks.
There's absolutely nothing surprising about this. When people have no further incentive to be somewhere, why waste their time?
The game design choices involving Crystal Tower basically guaranteed that this would happen.
It is to be expected anyways. Well the person who leaves gets a 30 minute penalty.
You can still replenish players which is good and i think there should be many players lining up to go into CT as well so probably the wait won't be that long.
However, best is if you get a trusted CT team pre-made before lining up for duty is better.
Not sure if you are trolling or just being extremely unpleasant. On my server where we have Japanese players we never have an issue in CT no one outta all the runs i have done left CT i do it all the time for the points. And the reverse of what you said can be said about Japanese players in fact foreign players in general.
ive run it about 4 times. Havent had this issue pop up so far. Ive had plenty of people grudgingly roll on items before the reset hits (i got lancer gloves, but im probably not going to level one any time soon), but no one leaving yet.
I didnt have problems with leavers too and I hope never will have, but I created this thread to pay attention on the possible problem- very nice, that almost everyone here havent such problem
Why do people keep saying that getting your one piece of loot for the week equals a complete lack of incentive to stay in the dungeon? You're forgetting two incentives that are always present, whether the gear is acquired or not:
1. The dungeon is fun!
2. 200 Philosophy Tomes(The most any one dungeon can give right now).
Only these incentives are "cappable":
3. 50 Mythology Tomes.
4. 1 piece of loot.
So... while you're pining for your piece of loot, go ahead and get Darklight for Alt classes(or your main, if you're missing anything). Once you get your gear, finish the instance for a few more Tomes.
There are many other reasons people are forgetting about these dungeons. S.E. shouldn't need to change anything about the loot system. It's like this for every other dungeon as well. I've ran into it many times I.e. tanks going only for Hoplite head piece. It's also the same for many other games. It's on the person to stay in the group. If they dont want too, they dont have too. Some people dont need tomes and are paying like everyone else. Isn't S.E.'s job to make a system to fix rude players. They are always gonna be there and do this always.
