After I post a few times in a day I get a message saying that I have reached my daily limit of posts and cannot post anymore. This is pretty annoying. Does anyone else get this or SE just loves me this much?

You have unlimited posts in Tech and Help section but counts towards your posts here.
Post 10 there, you can't post no one where else but those 2 places...or event section I think.

I have to admit that its pretty silly to limit how much posts a player can posts. I can understand a probation period.

To be honest, even with the lockouts, 90% of the posts here are unhelpful, sarcastic, posts containing no new information or a combination of the three.
SE implemented this because of the beta forums, which were an absolute train-wreck of trolling, vitriol and spite. There were at least a dozen threads active at any one time on the same topic. Whereas on the JP forums their thread count was less than a 10th of the EN forums and people actually read the whole thread and used the 'like' feature to agree with the viewpoints others posted rather than add their own comments which amounted to the same thing.
We only have ourselves to blame. -

Generally, I think a person should be able to say anything they want and it's up to the community to tell them they are wrong. If it comes to harassmet, threats and abuse the moderators can always give them a holiday from the forums when people report them.Quote:

On a more serious note, the forums got better after the restrictions were introduced, though how much of that is due to the restrictions is up for debate, some of it is likely that the kind of people who won't pay for subscriptions are the ones most likely to complain the most.
Think the number of complaint threads about housing is too much? Without the restrictions on how many topics someone can create in a day, this forum would still be flooded with them. -

Being able to post more also allows nice easygoing conversations to happen on forums, Like a normal pseudo chat. Someone mentioned WoW forums, and they have that a lot, which is cool :D
EDIT2: And I reached my 20 posts! Weeee!!!
