Hildibrand Cliffhanger [Waning: Spoiler]

Why SE? WHY?!!!

Now I want to see the next part of the Hildibrand Saga even more.

That Cliffhanger! THAT ULTIMATE BATTLE BETWEEN HILDIBRAND AND GILGA[Spoiler Block]! THAT NAEL GUNLANCE!

The character drives me nuts, but I'm intrigued. :D

Ya he is a fool but he is one of those fools you can't live without.

The ending for the current Hildiband Story made me burst out laugh the moment that challenge card struck Hilidibrand in the head and the cutscne only got more hilarious after that.

Also, don't you wish we had hair growing potions? ya the bright shine it gives off can blind someone but it certainly worth it.

The facial expressions Hildibrand makes crack me up. I need to go rewatch them and take some screenshots.

Indeed, I was rolling around laughing from the moment

our Lord and saviour Hildy burst out of his grave George Romero-style, then stretched like he had just woken up from a brief nap completely unaware of what had happened to him, and the comedy meter just went up to eleven from there.

And yes, when I saw a certain dimension-hopping, Bartz-hating, red-clad, four-armed 'weapon collector' right at the end I just lost it. But then SE went and trolled me with the campy 70's cop-show throwback 'coming soon' teaser and title card at the end of the quest line, showing what's to come in three months time. ARRGHHH!!!

. Now I can't wait for 2.2. :o LOL

Thanks a lot for spoiling in the thread title that the hildibrand quest line ends in a cliffhanger, dork.

That part is my 2nd favorite scene. It mimiced how a classic Zombie movie starts out so much but in a comedy way.

I started this patch angry about housing then Hildibrand (along with more story) made everything ok again ^_^b

waiting his fate around 2 hours at first days
but his quest really worth the wait

For someone who experienced Hildebrand for the first time, there were a couple of times where I laughed out loud. Nice to see a bit of comedy going on ^^ Need to know what happens next though!

About midway through the whole duelist plot I started going "Is this going to be Gilga...?", absolutely lost it at the end. Looking forward to Clash on the High Bridge! Listening to that song for the next three months in anticipation is going to drive me insane lol... Still, going to be great to see;

They've set it up perfectly with Nashu wearing Hildibrands outfit and Ellie joining the duo, lol.

OMG, I can't believe I didn't pick up on that - in hindsight you're exactly right! So, by that thinking, if Hildy is Bartz, Nashu is Faris, and Ellie is Lenia, then, does that make the player.... Galuf?. O.O

Hildebrand is alright... Especially liked the zombies welcoming him...
but Nashu... Now that's where it's at...

That smile when she revealed her solution... Amazing.

Why couldn't she have needed the massage? :-(

Or maybe we take the role of Bartz. Hildebrand did temporarily lose his memory like Galuf did in FF5 and Bartz is an adventurer like us.

Agreed. Nashu is just as much of a gentleman investigator as Hildebrand is. I say she keeps the suit.

Honestly, the whole thing was far too disjointed and abbreviated, IMO. But that's par for the course, I suppose. :-/

But the whole:
1) Find out who is behind the zombies
2) *Gasp* It's him!
3) We're on an investigation

thing just felt kinda sloppy. :-/

She may have changed outfits, but she's learned to mix explosives in her spare time. That's an awesome development.

Oh man, Hildibrand's whole storyline was awesome. I laughed so much, it was great to enjoy. Those facial expressions, the antics, so good. It was extremely saddening to realize that it was over so suddenly. ...But at least it will continue.

I liked the Hildibrand cutscenes. I think they should have been voiced though, with how much work was put into them.

Actually, at the end of the "Coming Soon!" cutscene, it shows the old man we had to oil up at Bronze Lake. So I'm thinking he's Galuf xD

I'm not sure I agree. There's no voice they could get for Hildibrand that would please everyone, I feel.

What's with every body's obsession with Gilgamesh? He's cool, but keep your panties dry. I liked the story regardless though for the record.

So far my #1 favorite scene in Hildibrand Quests.

Also, it seems Nashu has a strange fetish for explosives.

I have but one request for SE for the hildibrand saga!! Fricking Voice over! Give me the darn voice Over!!!! It was one of the few things I was missing in the new installment of the main story and this!
Seeing as to be honest, the scenes were funny but the fact i had to literally read text balloons was not favouring in my enjoyment. In fact it was degrading it. However, i did laugh a good bunch of times. Like with the card in his forehead and your character doing ninja reflex to dodge it haha.

Erm...no thanks. As much as I'm sure some would gush at the tought of Hildibrand being voiced by the likes of Nolan North, I'm not a fan of voice overs. With the questionable voice acting on both ends (they weren't kidding when they said even the JP voices were "meh"), I think we're better off with how the 2.1 quests were done.

Well ofcourse the voice over artists need to improve, however I feel that the hildibrand questline(s) lack something when they are in chat bubbles. It just does away from it all, where as I find that voice overs would do a better job making it funny then.. those horendous chat bubbles.
