HQ Levequest Turn-In?

Better use those levequest allowances for levelling any crafts you were lagging on:

Must be raising the Constancy type quests the xp is real low on those, don't think I ever did one.

I wonder by what percentage the Bonus EXP from HQ items is being decreased by. Maybe theyll just make it to 20% :D That would be fun as a new crafter.

I'm certainly blowing all my leves in an effort to get as close to 50 on ALC as I can. I'm already WVR, GSM, CRP at 50 (levelled GSM from 32 -> 50 yesterday), so getting ALC to 50 will put me in a good place for HQ 2-stars.

My guess is that they'll nerf it down to either 50% (matches the GC turn-ins) or 100%. I doubt it'd go lower than 50%.

If I had to guess then at worst it'll be a 50% bonus for HQ, just like when turning in to a Grand Company for the daily supply and provisioning missions. The bonus on leves was crazy good, though I'm surprised they're decreasing it after it had been that way for so long. Guess we'll see.

The overall goal is probably to make the leves fairly equal rather than 'never do battlecraft leves ever unless you're farming pudding flesh.'

I spammed and finished off CRP from 25 yesterday. I wont be able to do anything else before the patch hits. >< So i only got WVR, CUL and CRP ><

I think the "f you" is directed at the people that level a craft without crafting. No reason to have someone else make you the turn in items when you would get more exp from the synths combined with HQ and NQ turn ins.

They also buffed quick synth XP. Looks like it's time to spam NQ leves.

Without having idea about HQ leves being nerfed I've decided to use the last weekend prior the maintenance / 2.1 patch to level my last two DoH (BSM & ARM) to 50 from 30 so imagine my relieve readig the patch notes yesterday having already BSM at 50 and ARM at 40 - I've pulled all nighter to complete ARM as well and finished just 15 minutes before the servers were taken down still having some 20 leves left - we'll see how much it wll be nerfed but I agree with most guesses here that it will be most likely to 50% maximally to 100%. The only remaining (non DoW / DoM) class remaing is Fisher which I'm though not taht much worried about (leveling of) anyway curently at 29 and wil ltake it easy in between some serious crafting / playing. Even the levels for Fishings seems to be improved if I'd really want to speed the things up which I doubt - the only reason would be to get some hight level fish for crafting food and shark oil.

Well at least I got my GSM to 35 :D I didn't have the time to spam levels cause of work and school, but I guess It will take a bit more time to level crafting now. Maybe I'll have all of them to 50 by 2015.

Looks like they buffed them all. Level 45 GSM quest to make Tourmaline chocker used to yield ~153k exp per turn in, 50k * 200%. Now its 100k * 100% or ~213k. Leves got better, not worse.

This is why SE should give more information on changes and not be vague. Are your numbers HQ or NQ or mix?

I suspected this might be the case. The patch notes were vague, but it smelled like a normalization pass. They realized most people weren't even bothering to turn in NQs, so they normalized it so that NQs would be competitive with HQs. Glad to hear it, since I told a friend not to bother wasting his leves until after the patch, would have hated to have been mistaken.

Exper wise, the 2.1 system doesn't really do much damage to aspiring crafters. The "nerf" is in payouts. 700 Gil on HQ triple got you 6300 Gill per leve point. Now it's 4200 per point, respectively.

Damn I got my last two (ARM/BSM) to 30/25 respectively and wasted all my levees lol. Oh well by the time I'm done with new content i'll have 40-50 and finish them both.

So now you can knock out NQ stuff real quick and get just as decent exp as before, you just get less gil at the end of it yes?

Not exactly. I was grinding Tourmaline Chokers to finish off Goldsmith. Before, they were worth ~50k XP for NQ, and (of course) ~150K XP for HQ. Given the leve turn-in limitations, any I didn't HQ I just put up on the Market Board. Now, NQ are ~100K and HQ are ~200K, which might have influenced my calculus on how to effectively use my leves given material costs (I was trying to go slightly gold positive while levelling as quickly as possible and I'm running desperately low on shards). Basically, the NQ and HQ versions split the difference, so if you get a 50% HQ rate, you'll get (on average) about the same amount of XP per turn-in as you would have if you were just turning in HQ.

The couple of triple turn-ins I checked did NOT get buffed, though. Apple Juice x 3 x 3 was 32K per turn-in or 96K per 3x HQ turn-in, and it is still 32K per turn-in and now (presumably) 64K per HQ turn-in. Ergo, triple turn-ins got nerfed for XP/leve allowance. Assuming that the XP is roughly equivalent between Culinarian leves and Goldsmith leves, it is now better from an XP-to-leve-allowance -and- XP-to-material-cost perspective to do a lv45 courier than it is to do a lv40 triple turn-in.

Base level xp appears to have been about doubled.

Before: NQ - 100% xp, HQ 300% xp
Now: NQ - 200% xp, HQ 400% xp.

So it's a buff either way.

I don't understand why they decided one route is the best way to go for all cases now. That sucks. At least before we could do single ones to level super quick and do triple leves as we got low to still maximize leveling. Now we only have one option, the courier option.

This is the part that's really hurting me, because I found the levequest gil stream a lot more reliable than the market one. I'm guessing it's probably to get more of us to offload more stuff on the market but frankly I'd still rather have the quicker turn-over of a crafting leve.
