Rain of death?

-10% enemy evasion? I didnt even know this was an issue once you hit acc cap. i guess it'll be good a draining my tp for party members who dont have acc cap but it seems like it will be rarely used out side of wide volley procs now...thoughts?

Most of the class changes make 0 sense. They are making the class more dumb, i was expecting damage nerfs but not this really... They made the skill useless now.

Did I not read far enough? Is this the ONLY thing that happened to Bard?

Edit: minus the Archer changes...

Hawk eye or whatever is now a gaurentee hit (i didnt know missing was a big issue) but other than that yeah.

Be thankful your job didn't get hit harder.

I actually laughed at the bard changes.

Actually I believe they made BfB and Internal Release be just 10% each instead of 20%. But i think this change doesn't affect MNK or DRG since they get the enhanced trait.

Edit: to Mirielle, I think on MNK and DRG it does still affect because I know BfB after trait was a 30% boost. So basically looks like all those buffs are being dropped 10% for everyone.

I guess a simiplication of our class is something to be happy about? I cant really follow this line of thinking, we barely use support abilities and our one good support ability wont even be used outside of free procs from wide volley. This is just one more step in making bard more drab

10% Crit nerf to Internal Release, 10% nerf to Blood for Blood, Shadowbind CD is way more long, Rain of Death is useless. But do not worry, our Monk friends get a insane amount of buff when they are the top dps job.

Accuracy cap is not easy to hit for non mage and bard jobs in Coil.

That is gaming of the future. Boring and uninteresting, mentally unchallenging, jumping from easy kill to easy kill to cut scene to cut scene, no AI just a set routine to learn for fights. No challenge in the over world because it may annoy someone.
Just a watch paint dry scenario while someone gives you pixel rewards for a job well done.

Riiiight, but I meant specifically to BRD. Shadowbind is useless in most high level encounters. Anyone who can cross Int. Release and BfB is suffering the same de-buffs as us. So MNK will suffer the same de-buff from BfB as us and won't even be able to use Hawk Eye at all now. Basically Rain of Death was re-tooled for a coil purpose. Be honest, how many times has the 10% dmg de-buff 'saved your group'? I'm sure it wasn't that often, and if it did than someone pulled more than they could handle.

Rain of Death was awesome for reducing Death Sentence damage. With this and the "antibody" nerf to virus this is just making things harder for healers.

Rain of Death helps a LOT in turn 5. And in any turn when you are undergeared. The other jobs get the BfB nerf and IR but they get plenty of other buffs and we get none. Shadowbind imo is a nerf caused by PvP.

The nerf to rain of death is quite possibly the dumbest thing ever. On the bright side, I never have to use the 200tp cost ability again...yay? Saying bards didn't get nerfed is silly though as we lost 10% on 2 abilities...so...yea.

Maybe accuracy on PVP gear is shit? :P

Quite sad about the rain of death change tbh. Don't really care about IR and BfB though.

Hawk's Eye is also terrible, and in the same category of skills I'll never use.

I am going to leave it right where it is on my action bar because a TP FREE Rain of Death will pop on occasion.

It is pretty worthless though...

What's wrong w/ Hawk's Eye?... it's not worthless... 15% dex means more damage. No?

I think the MNK's insane burst dps will be really useful for when a lot of dmg is required in a short period of time such as titan's gaol, conflagration and dreadknights. I think SMN will be the weaklink as they already have lowest burst dps and their AOE is not that great.

Honestly, before buff MNK and DRG could already out DPS a bard. Now, aside from an easier silence rotation, there's no real reason to run only one bard, and that's only for song. I'm pretty much full i90 on bard and I'm going to finish gearing my DRG now. lol..

I was not expecting that to Rain of Death.

to keep up? they already could keep up, our dmg came from these abilities. b4b, IR, HE etc. that's where our extra dmg came from but mnk could already pass us. Completely idiotic nerfs/whateveryouwannacallthem

Im beginning to think you have NO CLUE how to gear a bard.... actually I'm damn convinced you know nothing whatsoever about bard at all..

They're nerfing Bard's cross class abilities like Internal Release and Blood for Blood

Actually this is one of the best changes every. As you gear bard/archer in more i90 pieces (this applies to many jobs/classes) you are going to lose a lot of accuracy. Getting accuracy cap'd is difficult without sacrificing other stats right now. This is going to be even better if this effect applies to bosses since accuracy cap for turn 5 is insanely high if you want to stay geared in i90 stuff.

Your totally wrong, acc is never a problem for us, and only the first 3 adds and the Snakes require the acc Cap. And missing 1 attack or 2 wont change the outcome of the fight at all.

Losing Rain of Death and Virus chains will really be a problem in t5.

Rain of death change is not about nerfing brd damage (that was the issue to fix here). It's just a stupid way to make a good skill completely useless.

If Bard is supposed to be a support-dps, what's the reason behing removing one of the best support skill it has?

Gotta agree with that. The change from 10% decreased damage to 10% decreased enemy evasion is nonsensical, especially when the BRD is intended as more support oriented role.

The changed to B4B and IR are completely fine when looking at them from the supporter standpoint.
