In 1.0 prices this would be 6.2 BILLION gil - six times more than any one person could carry at one time.

Remember when Yoshi said the gil 'reduction' wouldn't matter? This is total crap.

That's...that's incredibly ridiculous. I was fine with 8mil for a small house, but that price is outrageous. Holy mother of a moogle.

SE needs to stop misleading people. remember when they said it would take 3-4 players or so to combine their Gil that they got along the way going from lv1-50? dang, I must have missed out somewhere!

Its not so bad you can buy a shack and move to the slums for a little over 40m.I wonder if the same people defending the housing costs will also defend the land costs.

I just don't get their maths. They say price will drop 14% every 6 hours (which is fine), but then they say it will drop a maximum of 360 times to half it's original price. Wut?

Guess I'll have to wait and see how this actually works.

They managed to kill my excitement for 2.1 really quickly lol.

Saved up 20mil on my own for my FC, some people helped. I think we got around 30mil. We have roughly 10 active members. We can't even afford a medium sized plot.

Its actually 0.14% reduction every 6 hours. They got it wrong.
4 reductions per day = 0.56%
after 30 days = 16%
after 90 days = 50%

It's funny, though, that there are a million good changes in those patch notes and the one thing most people are going to focus on is the cost of FC housing. I agree that it's ridiculous (obviously), just find it pretty silly that people are coming out of the woodwork "OMG CAN'T BELIEVE THIS SE HAS DONE IT AGAIN UNSUBBED SELLING ALL MY FINAL FANTASY DISKS ON EBAY AAAAAAAAAAA"

No wonder's there's so much homelessness in Ul'Dah. Look how much people have to pay for a house.

SE is so bad that they can't even do basic math right, if it's 14% reduction every 6 hours, then how the hell did their example show a 5.6% reduction after 10 days

And someone may want to tell them that half of 8 mil is 4 mil, not 3.698m

The amount of entitlement is absolutely astounding.

Sorry, but you can't ALL have gigantic mansions on the most prestigious plots of land, sorry. You can, however, buy smaller affordable housing.

As much as I also feel this is overwhelming, They will continue to adjust the price as well as the price reduces every 6 hours. It's not like it going to BE these high prices all the time, 3 months from now it will be cut in half ( or lower if 2.2 comes with a adjustment to the housing prices.)

Edit: I think there was a typo when they said 14% when it's .14%

why do you guys need the biggest houses on day1? yoshi said, only the richest FC's will get the biggest ones. try to save up money or buy a smaller one.

Well if you would have asked me two things i was looking forward to I would say CT and FC housing.

CT they fucked up by not making it possible to do it with FC/LS only.

FC housing they fucked up by asking CRAZY amount of gil.

What happened to the S house will be 4-5 times the money you can make leveling 1 to 5? I made 250k by leveling, dunno but 5x 250k IS NOT 8 million ....

This would hold true if things went as planned. But they didn't, SE screwed up and the RMTs found ways to generate MASS amounts of gil from nothing. Causing amounts to sky rocket. In late september they confiscated billions of gil due to these exploits. But the damage was done, the gil was in the system and there was nothing they could do to fix it.

Until now.

Its plain as day to see that SE is inflating the costs due to the amount of gil on the servers (most which was created illegitimately).

Not everyone should have a huge mansion you are correct, but at the same time the prices should have never gotten this high to begin with.

Well this is only for FC housing which is simply the FC base of operations.

I'll wait tell we get Personal Housing into the game since I'm more interested in Personal House rather than FC house.

I believe that startment is meant for Personal Housing which is not in the game yet. We will have to wait for Personal Housing release if we want that cheap small house.
