Crystal Tower why stay after getting loot?

Sorry if this has already been asked or discussed.

Lets for argument say I join Crystal Tower through the Duty Finder, and I get loot off the first boss. My question is Why should I stay for the rest dungeon? And for less populated jobs like Tank, will this force the 23 other people to sit and wait for a tank to join the Duty Finder?

I saw on reddit, that once you obtain loot from either Need or Greed you can not get any more loot for the rest of the week by either option. Only getting one piece of Need gear per week does not bother me, but the fact that I can not greed or hope to get greed gear no one wants, why bother with the Crystal Tower after I get my loot.

I will be mainly running CT with my FC, and I would not actually do this if I did join a DF Crystal Tower, but I had this thought of what if this does happen.

Its easy to get Tomes, you can not report someone for leaving a Dungeon stuff can happen and they have to leave (but to try to prevent jerks you at least get a 15min penalty before re queue) , and my personal enjoyment might be better spent not wiping.

I am playing the devil advocate on this topic because this can and most likely will happen and should not.

I think what people came up with is there is just several chest at the end?

I kind of wonder where they are getting that info though, but it would make sense. Sort of like another Castrum or something.

I said in my post I would not do this to either a Duty Finder group or my FC, but what if this happens. Please learn how to read

Edit to add: I do not want this to happen, I hope this does not happen, but what if it does? Does SE have something set up to encourage people to finish Crystal Tower after joining.

I think he is expressing a concern of what will happen, more than claiming he'll do it. I've seen Bards drop group after the first boss in AK since that boss drops Bard gloves that are better than the Darklight ones.

DF groups commonly have turdy people in them, and CT will have at least 16 people you don't know. I think it's fair to say that CT is turning out to be something that many of us didn't expect. For me it's gone from being the coolest part of the patch to a potentially a 1 time a week pain in the ass.

because being a superior tard that just leaves after getting loot isn't that cool, you know.
everyone should just keep in mind how they would react, if another player of their DF group would just behave like that.
still, the risk is there and I guess some of us will encounter something like this from time to time..

won't be a problem though when you can fully join CT with 3 premade groups of your FC. I just hope they won't take too long to implement that.

This is what happens when you have limited CT with only people of say your FC and then there's an off-chance you'll get some assholes in the other groups.
They dropped the ball but I THINK it's going to be fixed in 2.2.
We gotta see how it plays out first, but there is no doubt this won't happen to us.
The patch just keeps getting to be a downer as you go lol.

If you did not join with your friends, then there is absolutely no reason for you to stay. 8-12min WP speed runs will most likely still be a better source of tomes. It would probably be most efficient for you to get your weekly piece of gear, leave the dungeon, make food, run WP/BCoB for tomes. I assume the 23 remaining players will be able to progress to the end. The iLevel is 55 so I really don't think many people will be affected by a tank or healer leaving. If the alliance drops to around 18 players, then those remaining would probably have to wait for people to "Join in Progress."

What if all the treasure coffer is in the very final boss

I think my primary concern with this is the fact that people don't want to finish running the dungeon after they get their loot. In the face of so many people saying "Oh it's boring, we need more stuff to do", dropping a dungeon after getting that one thing of loot seems kind of awkward.

Granted, I know we're all in it for the gear, but why get that one piece and dip out on the rest of the party like that though? What about the other guys who want to get their piece of gear also? Or for those who want to finish the entire thing without having to wait an absurd amount of hours for someone else to pop in, get their item, and jump ship?

I'm not really saying that everybody plans on bailing as soon as they get their gear for that week, but with so many people talking about it, it makes me think that there'll be a lot of selfishness involved in this dungeon. As much as I abhor DF, I would like to do CT, but if people are going to pull the "okie doke" on every group as soon as they get their gear, then this entire process will be a suck fest.

I really hope it doesn't come to that.

So so SE can realize how 1 week lockout for 2nd/3rd job is lame

It's going to happen, and probably a lot more than people want.

There is a valid argument about Finishing the dungeon because it is new content, but ask anyone who has run AK or WP in excess of 50 times whether they'd want to finish WP if they got their Myth Tomes after the first boss.

I made a spreadsheet and with some simple assumptions (6 sets, 6 pieces per set - since "high level accessories" will drop from Extreme Mode Primals I didn't include them in the set) and a run of CT yielding 2-4 items (2 is in line with what a turn of Coil drops, 4 is in line with what a regular dungeon drops) you'd need to run CT an average of 24 to 46 times to obtain just one set of gear. That doesn't include the fact that an item you need may drop and someone else rolls and wins it.

So, by time you've run CT enough to complete one set of gear (assuming that the loot lockout is both for NEED and GREED options), you are likely going to be pretty sick of CT.

I think by placing the loot only at the end and by allowing an infinite (or at least larger quantity) of Greed rolls, you'd help to give people good reason to stick around (at the end makes it a requirement, able to Greed even after you've got your one Need for the lockout period would give people the chance to work on alt gear or some off chance an item they want no one else wants).

4 Loot box will be at end of game. Your Problem fixed.

Not that I want to be the "boy who cried wolf" on this, but at the start of 2.1, any soul who wants to do Crystal Tower, has to do so with two other 8 man groups supplied via Duty finder. So that would be all of the groups that would be a serious issue.

Which is why I hope this rampant quitting after receiving a piece of loot isn't the case. It'd make duty finder even more of a catastrophe than it already is.

He clearly stated he would not do so. But he says there is nothing stopping jerks who decides to do so.

It all depends on how SE has tuned the interaction between groups. I will be extremely disappointed if top tier groups will have to fail/restart because of a few bad apples in another group. If it ends up being a serious problem, I'll probably just stop running CT. No reason to stress over an ilvl80 dungeon when better items are available from Coil/X-Primals.

This is one of the most ignorant threads ever.

Being that CT will be the second endgame raid next to Coil, what makes anyone believe it will have the same loot drops as an AK or WP, instead of coil?

It really depends if the first boss even drops loot, if so not much you can do about it.

If all the loot is at the end of the raid then people who drop probably either have rl/fc/other stuff going on or don't want to deal with wiping.

If I can get the piece of loot off the first boss and not be able to loot the rest of the week then I'll take off. Why stick around? What's the incentive and what is the punishment? Nothing and nothing.

Yoshi and friends seem to be forgetting that the only thing people care about is loot. A stick with no carrot isn't worth chasing.
