What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?
i guess everyone is expected to have that dps calculator add on now?
You need guidelines if you want any sensible answers.
I could right now go do a quadruple Flare with full buffs on, in a party, with the best food, against 3 training dummies, and I have no doubt my DPS would be far above 500 if not closer to 1,000. There's not much difference between that and two equally geared players stopping at different points, under different circumstances.
PS3... I hit for stuff.
Also dps meters are bad. I have had multiple people in my group using the same meter and the same setup and they get results that are not even close to the same.
Only the pros.
Sorry I didn't mean for it to be a loaded question. Here is a few examples:

Hope this simplifies things.
Dummies don't fight back.
The only DPS I care about is live content in which I move around, dodge aoe, occasionally have to move away to avoid eating floor and doing nothing.
As a close range DD with flank/rear mechanics your dummy "perfect situation" dps sais nothing to me.
..Use common sense? Do a ST rotation that doesn't end right after a CD is up?
It's a known issue where meters are generally accurate(barring SMN) for yourself, but not for others.
This post is bad and you should feel bad.
my dps is over 9000
wow...
It's a very simple question and it's too hard for anyone here to answer. Gaming community is more retarded than ever these days... and it's only getting worse :(
Or you are retarded and don't understand how to properly phrase a request.
You ask for highest dps on a training dummy...
How long do you want people to dps for?
Is aoe allowed?
These sort of factors completely determine the answer you are looking for. If I was you, and being an intelligent person, I would have said something along the lines of....
"What is the highest anyone has parsed on a training dummy while dpsing for 5 minutes / 50,000 total damage with / without using aoe skills."
There was a thread like this not so long ago.
It also sucked because 90% of people posting didn't post any logs.
Same with the "whats the most damage you've done in a single attack" thread.
If it serves the community no purpose (such as trying to get an avg of relative job dps, trying to see different dps on different fights, etc) it just turns into a giant pissing contest.
Seems like a bit of a rude response to an offer I gave to get a better topic going instead of no one posting their results, as happened.
The original question is "What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?" It doesn't say do a ST rotation, and when to decide your CDs are past enough to not inflate your numbers. Sadly, there's not one common sense parser test everyone follows or should follow; in practice a 10-20 second parser result (trash), or a 1-2 minute parser result (AK/WP boss), a 5 minute parser test, or a 13 minute parser result (Twintania), will be far different in numbers and favor certain classes more than others. As I said, without guidelines you can't get a proper basis and makes the topic question too broad regardless of a universal basis you believe the question entailed, written somewhere in stone. No one's results would count for anything unless they themselves chose to copy another person's exact guidelines.
Things that could vary from person to person:
AoE/ST
Party buffs
Food
Potion use
End time
Total duration
RNG with procs and crits and repeats (BLM could re-do the parser over and over until something quite a bit higher than normal appears and would fit with "What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?")
I don't know if you've participated in other MMOs where people do this, but the general rule is do a ST rotation that ends when a CD is up, or your resource is up.
And then you use common sense.
If you apply other variables, you state what they were.
Since the topic said "highest DPS on dummy," you can conclude that he wanted highest ST DPS. So, use buffs, pots, food, etc.
Here, I'll start(even though parsing is broken for SMN):

2 minutes 13 seconds. Out of party, no food. Stopped when I ran out of MP(not as much of an issue in party).
I used a Hi-Int potion(+26 INT) for the initial RS/Contagion combo.
I still used Shadow Flare, even though it doesn't register on the parser at all.
Parsing for a short period of time doesn't really mean anything. For example, my BRD can get up to 430 DPS with initial burst (all buffs activated) but the "real" sustained DPS after 5 minutes will be around 250 and stay around the same even if I add 5 more minutes into it reactivating buffs etc. My MNK can get up to 370 DPS from initial burst but stay at 300~ DPS after 5 minutes, unfortunately my MNK runs out of TP if engaged for this long without a break (499 skill speed without GL).

No grp, devilled eggs.
Best try out of 10.
Pretty lucky HS critrate, BL procs were a bit over average i guess.
Autoattack critrate was lacking though : (
I notice a lot of evasive answers on these boards. I can't imagine anyone is stupid enough not to realize people are seeking average single-target DPS output. In WoW, they call these "Patchwerk" scenarios - in optimum conditions (single-target, nothing to dodge, nothing to avoid, nothing to time, no mechanics, where the boss stands there and gets beat on) because of a boss named Patchwerk that encompassed just that.
Over a 10 minute period with mostly AK/WP pieces and DL, I averaged ~200 DPS, assuming inaccurate parsers and including rotational on-CD CD useage. Obviously this number is subject to change on high movement fights (where BRDs/MNKs will excel) and other factors.
Jeez, it's like determining thoroughput is difficult or something.
Too lazy to go redo a dummy test and screenshot, so take it with a grain of salt if you want.
Relic+1, Full darklight, only myth head & legs, no party buffs or food of the sort. Around 240 (though probably higher due to DoTs not being counted correctly) . If I had all my myth/allagan pieces instead of all darklight except two pieces, I'd imagine it's be somewhere around 330+ though i dont know how much of a dps increase it is to go from full DL to full allagan/myth. this is with alternating DK and bootshine, weaving in impulsive drives, and using steel pea/howling fist on cooldown since they're off the gcd.
Did one test, not really interested in rerunning any to get the highest RNG possible.
Conditions: ST, about 3 minute run, used cooldowns once, potion used, not in party or using food, didn't end in Flare to pad numbers.

Gear: full 90 gear. Yes, my accuracy is this bad, I use HQ Rose Gold Earrings and high ACC food to compensate for now.
