two days left on Sub and not renewing.

It would appear I have forum post to provide feedback. strange. In game support also points to forum posting.

Anyhow, two days left on subscription and I will not be renewing until I read about maintenance helping to reduce massive amounts of lag. Forum posts, reddit and even ISP forums will not identify the issue with finger pointing between SE pipes in Canada and throttling ISP's elsewhere.

In an effort to make the game more responsive I have removed all graphical options available to me on a PS3. I do not even show my own animations. I have port forwarded and have wired the beast as well as ensuring this is the only device connected to the router.

Four dungeons completed for the story missions and they were trouser filling events for both me and the parties. I spend my time crafting & gathering, very slowly. On a plus note, I do report a lot of RMT cause fates with more than four people are murderous as well.

I look forward to returning in the future when reports are good. This isn't what I subscribe for, I want to enjoy the game and partake in the content. To have a screen unfreeze to find out I'm dead isn't value for money.

One idea that I have not read elsewhere. Given the emergency maintenance to remove the packet id injection that cost people zillions of gil in fraudulent transactions (it's just a big database really?). Can the lag problems be botting RMT's throwing oddles of packets at the servers and possibly the ISP seeing it as a DDoS attack and blackholing that traffic. You never know.

Have fun y'all. Might be back in the future, might purchase a game that satisfies without lagging big time.

Wow, follow up thought. Are Square Enix being ransomed with DoS by organised crime syndicates and botnets? Is it really Anonymous to blame? Who knows.

I feel victim to really bad lag and connection speeds in Aion when that first launched, there was only some of us with the problem so the community at large didn't think there was a problem and NCsoft was in no hurry to fix it. So I left. I never went back.

And I'm posting this to tell you it sucks to be in your position and my sympathies are with you, it's truly disappointing when you want to enjoy a game you've waited for and you just can't find the joy in it because of how slooooooooow the connection is or worse if you keep disconnecting. I hope something is done relatively soon.

B) Just cut the half of your post that doesn't fit and edit it in after you post.

D) It is your internet. I have 1 mbps download (Same boat as you) and when I go to my cousin's house (who literally has 10x the speed I do) Almost all lag is eliminated.
E) No one cares.

Basically, don't come on here announcing to us that you are upset because your internet speed isn't acceptable and you refuse to pay. Telling us why does nothing. Do you just want attention? Also, just because they allow you to post here doesn't mean you can use this as your dumping ground for your many complaints. Grow up. Do or don't pay. We really don't care. (Take care!)

The problem is definitely on SE's end, not his computer or internet connection. I have a 100mbps cable and this is the only game with massive delay and lagspikes. WTFast helps a lot but it's kinda stupid to be forced to pay sub for both the game and WTFast.

Read that sentence there is your issue, you are playing on PS3. The PS3 cannot handle the game unless you drop in a low end SSD, the only options available to you are either a buy a PC capable of playing this game or B buy a PS4 and come back in April when the game gets out of Beta on PS4.

I bet you've never played this game on ps3.

I have played on both ps3 and PC, aside from fates, the ps3 version works just fine.

With what your suggesting .. you make is sound that SONY deliberately mandated that SE publish a game for the PS3 intentionally not to work on the PS3 hardware.

This in the USA would be fraudulent practices and would be subject to a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT. Considering the following information that can be found on any financial or gaming website.

All seriousness i also am on PS3 and certain fates do cause lag but for the most part all has been good except at times
others are attacking enemies while it takes some time to show up for me ( few seconds to show up on screen)

I have been finding larger amounts of lag when doing DF lately. I do hit random lag spikes while crafting but I'm usually in town when that happens so I imagine it's probably just server load. However, the DF lag I can't find an explanation for it's random. Some instances it happens others it doesn't and I'm running 15 mbps so I'm relatively certain it's not that.

Anon hasn't been relevant in years, it's not even the same people anymore. Now it's all social justice kiddies and outspoken tumblr people trying to force their ideals on others. Anonymous is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

I'm on PS3 and everyday since phase 4 of the beta I've been getting lag. I play other games (shooters and fighter games) and never lag while playing online. Day I got the ps3 disc I started playing it with the disc rather then hdd and the lag stopped till the update weeks after launch day. The lag in dungeons is horrible and as playing healer makes healing a challenge. I struggled hard lvl whm to 50 mostly by DPSing fates and levequests. Lighting never loaded for me during any of those fates she appeared in and I can't complete the Relic quest cause I lag in ak on the first boss. I've been thinking since I can't even get tomes to get endgame gear I'd just not subscribe anymore till the lag issue is fixed. This is my first MMORPG and it is awesome but why pay money on a game I can't enjoy the content?

Are you hard wired in or using wifi? While using wifi I had lag on my ps3 but while hard wired in I had very minimal lag issues.

I play on ps3 lag here and now but that's when I'm in a populated area like mor dhona or in a fate with loads people. Internet connection plays an important role in how much lag you receive. Recently moved to a new area and little faster Internet connection has made things better. Using a SSD in a ps3 won't do you no good it doesn't improve performance by hardly anything so is a waste of your money.
Are your ports open on your router as sometimes these can be blocked, maybe upgrade your Internet to a better service.
Blaming the ps3 for lag is just stupid as you can still get the same amount of lag on a mid to high end PC.

I'm playing from halfway around the world from the NA EU datacenter on a 7mb down that plummets to 1mb down during peak hours and still have minimal issues...

Though I paid for the community, not to really play the game so I guess my comment doesn't make much sense here...

I play on a PS3. Other than normal and expected lag from super dense populations in FATEs or whatnot, I don't experience any lag on my 6Mb/s pipe at home. Tethered to my T-Mobile phone? (Blackberry Z30) I lag like a sonofabetch.

Blame the pipe, not the PS3. PS3 has it's limitations, but ongoing constant lag is not one of them.

I play on the PS3 ( knock on wood ) I haven't had any lag either. I use Fios Quantum and I haven't had any problems. I do have my PS3 wired.

Should not have made this game for PS3 should have released it with PS4, but we all know it was about making more money even if it causes problems.

Honestly man I think there is more wrong with the game than lag.. Lag should be their lowest priority. The game is losing subs because there isn't jack shit to do

Its a real shame to see players leaving because of the lag issues. I really do hope SE helps out even more and reduces even more lag somehow. Either by upgrading servers or something.

I hope they do fix it because I would like to see people like you return. Even though we are not on the same server, I'm sure people from Excalibur have left for the same reasons you have :(
