What's coming in 2.1, being worked for 2.1, and coming in post 2.1 (Compilation)
Translating what this poster posted on the Japanese forums.
All credit for gathering the information goes to that poster and that thread, I’m just translating what’s on there.

- Sound effects when receiving specific chat aside from /tell
- Become invincible for few seconds after receiving raise
- Process to automatically fix the camera distance
- Changing the item display for the Rare item supply
- Displaying the amount of HQ in inventory for crafting/gathering
- Display text for Arcanists Bane showing amount it spreads to (3 mobs)
- Auto kick and Vote kick feature inside Instanced Dungeons
- Displaying Company Chest usage history (who put in, took out stuff of FC chest)
- Adjustments to the user interface
- File Utility Feature (which allows to copy/transfer Hotbar and other settings to another PC)
- Chat improvement so you know it’s the real GM sending you tell [GM] (name)
- Implement Sort Feature
- Feature to disable controllers L3/R3 push input
- Expansion to XHB (Cross Hotbar) - New L2>R2 and R2>L2 showing additional actions
- Adding Focus Target feature for the PS3 version
- Adjustments to EXP earned inside the dungeon
- Class/Job adjustments (Adjustments to Warriors, Dragoons Jump, Additionals, etc)
- Making items up on market with/without crafters names (Right now it only applied to some items with/without names, they didn’t say which way they are going with)
- Releasing Barber (Beauty Salon)
- Implementation of Party Recruit Board
- Adjustments to the achievement requirement (lowering requirement)
- PS3 - Displaying the gil amount when purchasing items
- Modifying hair display for head gear
  (Some hair isn't shown when wearing head gear, they will make it where the hair WILL show)
- Implementing feature to prioritize display for Behemoth and Odin (So everyone who’s outside of the 8m grid can see the mob)
- Adjustments to food effect so it lasts even after death
- Adjustments to achievement for Redberry fort so it can be obtained easier
- Change the starting city
- Be able to use pet actions through macro, rearrange pet action in hotbar
- Tuning down the Shadow Flare’s effect
- Be able to store event items (recent ones) into the armoury chest

Things Planned Post 2.1 & Things that are/will be looked into for post 2.1
- Adjusting the amount of company seals required to trade for Dark Matter
- FC Login announcement ON/OFF feature
- Adjustments to crowd (ambient) noise
- Feature to transfer FC Master’s authority
- Addressing for people with color blindness
- Adding changes to NPC’s reaction to players upon quest completion (first will be key NPC, others will be looked into/added later)
- Display the map name next to the teleport window
- Customize Retainers
- Addressing objects which doesn’t take DOT effect
- Vanity Slot system - Minagawa-san says 2.2 on 11/11 9pm post
- Improving the ground target control using gamepad
- Adjusting Guild Leve and Grand Company Leve EXP (increasing)
- “Alliance” feature for Free Companies (Share/show chat, show members online, etc)
- READY CHECK feature (roll-call) to check up on party members before starting DF/Content - planned for post 2.2 - Added 11/14
- HUD Freely adjusting HUD size - No dates given, was talked about before by Minagawa-san - 11/27
- 100 items showing in single window or text display for item list is still in UI teams task list - no date given - 11/27
- AFTER METEOR (temp name) soundtrack is planned for release before/around 2.2 release - 11/27
- Gathering node appears/disappears on navigation map bug planned to be fixed in 2.1 - 11/27
- Limit Break Effect - LB battle effect turns off when you set it to simple mode, they are planning to fix this in future - 11/27
- Eating food while sitting is being looked at for future - 11/27
- Target-lock issue where camera position being fixed causing problems is planned to be fixed post 2.2 - 11/27
- Automatic FC Leadership Transfer for extended AFK time
Everything listed here are things that can be seen post Octorber 4th.
There maybe others (I know there were more) from Beta forums but this is what we have now officially announced after Launch.

I'll update this thread along with new updates the OP on other thread makes, or I find anything missing.
If you know other stuff that was not listed in here if you could please link to the developer/reps post and I'll post it over the JP side so they can update their list as well.

What ??? "Modifying hair display for head gear (hair showing instead of hidden when wearing certain head gear)" i hope not in all ...cos there is some head gear that show hair. And those look so cool with hair showing

It's the oposite, some hair isn't shown when you wear the head gear so they are goign to make it so the hair shows. Sorry if that was confusing... maybe I should reword that one.

If you're talking about the chocobo thing the most they have said is "we're looking into it", but yes it would make sense for it to be in 2.1 so we can have our chocobos run around with us while doing dailies. Sense however does not make for Square when they keep giving us vanity rewards and can't even push a much needed vanity tab out before the patch after this one.

Dev - No plans to break Clusters/Crystals like in 1.0 to make Crystal/Shards mentioned today, however they are looking into other methods for obtaining shards.

It would be cool to get it in primal fights like the dark matter 5 in 1.0 ^^
Each time you don't get a weapon, you get a handfull shards instead

Your wind shards are going out? Start to run 10 Garuda fights ^^

Did they give any examples of possible adjustments?

This one, for example class guild NPC's you complete the class quests but the NPCs talk to you after as if they have never met you before, although during the quest they know you. With this change it will make it so the NPC's will remember you after completing those quests. Reps said they are going to start with key NPC's then look into other NPC's for future. Hope that makes sense lol

Maybe it's to fix like my old Paladin mentor who's now after Questline-Finishing telling me about Paladin's as he woudln't know me. As I wouldn't have fought alongside him.

Oh my twelve, thank you. This has to be the most important left out feature in the game. I sat in the "target" options for hours trying to see if there was a way to just toggle through the enmity list as it appears. Right now there's no easy way on a gamepad to target a specific monsters once there's more than 4 in the enmity list. So happy and thankful for a feature that should have been in the game already.
