This has become a 2 day game for me... Hopefully CT doesn't have a lockout on it.

After Reset:

Day 1 : Raid (clear)
Day 2 : Finish Myth cap if not already done on Day 1. Think about maybe crafting or banging head against invisible fate wall on my 3rd job.... then inevitably log off until next reset.... I would love to run BC even if I couldn't roll on gear, for the love of jeebus, make BC a 1 roll per week instance.... instead of char lockout...

Being able to run coil as many times as we want but only being able to win 1 piece of loot and then having your need/greed locked would be a great solution IMO. That would still make coil viable for many months, especially considering you can pretty much gear alts forever before you'd run out of gear you want.

Yes, that way we can sell Coil runs like we do Titan and become filthy gillionaires!

I don't get what's so wrong about selling U/U gear. It doesn't hurt anyone in any way. The only person it might hurt is the buyer because they're not doing the content on their own maybe? But who cares, it's how they choose to play.

And no, I don't buy or sell, I genuinely just don't understand why people hate it so much.

On topic: Yeah, it sucks pretty bad. I don't think anyone really expects SE to change coil or myth caps though, but hopefully they'll pursue different alternatives for future content.

I bet there are already people selling for turn 1, and probably even turn 2.
If you're geared then you can do it with one less member, and if you are geared, you wouldn't care about the drops.

Did you really expect anything other than that? I mean you play this game partially. If you like the other parts doesn't matter. Go find something to get pleased with for the days you have nothing to do. SE won't offer you enough to be happy all time.

WHO CARES. if you do not want to buy it do not. Hate to tell you people are selling coil turn 1 now... lock outs do not prevent it. It just raises the selling price.

Screwing over people to try to prevent it is not the way for the game to go. Like now so many things are designed to stop or slow down rmt... are any of them working? Do you get spam tells still? Are people still buying gil? So nothing stoped rmt, yet many things are hurting normal players.

Make a good game, just ban the rmt. Forget adding anti rmt features into content design it just hurts normal players.

I have resorted to other things, hence the 2 day game title. Lately I have been playing KSP, Rome2, and GTA5, but I would really love to be playing the game that I am still paying for on a monthly basis more than 8 days a month...Fate grinding has gotten extrememly boring (moreso now that the entire server has flooded the end zones and its become an annoyance getting a gold rating even in a fate group) and crafting is essentially useless when you are 50/50 DL/Allagan. I could go on some more, but not turning this in to a rant/walltext.

Lets look at it this way SE tried the no lockout thing in FFXI. Delve has no lockout you can keep going back in over and over as much as you want. People capped out on gear pretty fast in like 2 months, then started selling runs to people who were less skilled / didn't have a ls that did delve for 20m a run. Then complained they had nothing to do and quit the game.

The whole reason they have a lockout is to slow down progression so people will continue to play.

Same can be said for WOW.

Log in tues do random df then clear raid then log off for rest of the week.

craft/level other jobs/gear other jobs/farm/do achievements for funsies

I'll concede that there's not a lot of content at endgame right now and I as well am looking forward to more being added, but having said that it's not hard to find a reason to login pretty much anytime I feel like it and finding something to do. Even if it's not as "meaningful" or "productive" as Coil.

The issue is not that there is no end game content, we know there is very little because it's a new game. The problem is you can only run that content once a week and then you're just locked out. You then run a couple of quick dungeons to cap, and again, you're done with this game after two days a week.

The game works against you from having multiple characters, instead of just multiple jobs (increased cost, no leveling bonus of other classes, etc) that just hurts with the lockout even more

so you finished coil turn 5?

Well other games let you run older tier content for fun, mounts/pets ect you may have lists. Given that the game just started this older tier content doesn't exist.

Because SE is afraid this become a 2 month game for the hard core players.
2 month to get all myth/coil equipments, and then AFK until next patch...especially 2.1 will not bring anything beyond coil.

Unfortunately no, not yet. T1-4 in about hour, FC raid group just about geared enough for it, so I hope to start T5 this week. Regardless, progression does not elude from the fact that I still only play 2 times a week. As other have said, that obviously didn't read the post to the entirety, I have leveled other jobs, I have crafted (ALOT, still useless though) I have fate grinded my ass off to the point of hating it... Which brings it to the next point (that has already been beaten to death) the Armory system being useless... Sure I could roll a seperate char, but it would cost me more monthly (to only play maybe 3 days a week lol) and it would mean I would have to do all the extra work to get the crass class abilities needed for other classes, ultimately rendoring the armory system useless as well. Don't get me wrong, I greatly enjoy the 2 days I play, but I would really love for it to be a 5-6 day game instead, and making BC a loot lock out system, instead of a char lockout system, would easily fix this. Have more, will use it in next response /rant

Turn 5 is very gear dependent its pretty easy to see if you are ready or not, because its like will the conflags die or not. If you see the 2nd conflag going off and killing people almost 100% of the time you know you aren't ready and need gear.

This game was advertised as "Play any job on a single character!". By making multiple characters just to have more than 2 hours of content per week, you're ignoring one of the game-defining features. It doesn't help that this game punishes you for playing multiple jobs on a single character at end game and says "hey, pick a main" at every single opportunity it gets.

The armory system does NOT work properly in this games current end game model, this needs adjusting. I'm glad there's more threads on this issue, but let's keep it all in the same place please? Makes it easier for SE to read our feedback, and it's what the Jp do.

It's not a bidding system. There will be a starting price set by SE and every few hours the price will drop until it's bought. I seriously doubt the starting price will be set so that only the super rich can afford it, so you really don't need to worry about other people's gil.

Ya, i've read it, and commented I believe, but that was back before I got to this point. I don't think an additional thread is hurting anything, as they are just as likely to notice if they see the same post over and over, as they would by seeing 1 post with 1000+ comments, but I completely agree with everything your post said. Extreme Primals and CT (esp since its ilvl80) are only going to work for a few weeks at best. 4 bosses a week is kinda on the low side, when you have raids (In the game that should not be named) that have 8-14 (guess) bosses in a single instance. It also doesn't help that the T1,T2,T4 bosses are pretty easy, and WTF is T3, other than a waste of time that can be skipped and no loot at the end? Why is it even in game?

Stop thinking only of yourself. Spam DF for Garuda and Titan and help other people get things done in the game...

One can only run Garuda and Titan so many times. Especially pugs (titan), since it's tough to get 7 other people that don't have their entire upper body up their ass.

I capped Myths just by helping Titan PUGs last week. I still capped in 2 days (yes, 20 Titan PUG wins in 2 days). Sure it took a lot more time than farming WP, but it gets old quickly and I don't see myself doing it again after that.

2. Don't want to help others do Titan/Garuda (I could help people do Titan all day)
3. Don't want to make an alt (I'm leveling like 4 jobs at the same time right now)

I did this for a few days, and still do it every once in a while. I advertise free titan carries every few days for a few hours a day, but you can only do the same boss(es) so many times before you're bored.

Well if it starts off at 20mil, and 15 ppl bid for it, so HOW SE gonna do?

They set the price, if more ppl bid the price goes up till the bid time is up.

That's not how they described it. First come first serve. It's a set price and either someone buys it at that price or it goes down after a few hours. There is no bidding.

Did you even read my posts?
1. My FC group should start T5 this week, which I am excited about.
2. After having done Titan like 100 times, I could do it in my sleep, and would prefer not to carry idiots that can't do it themselves.
3. I have 2 lvl 50's and working on a 3rd, but holy hell fates suck at this point.

Got any other boneheaded comments you would like to add?

Unfortunately I do not have Dead Island. For the time being KSP and GTAV have been working for off time, but I just beat the story on GTAV and KSP is just a repetative space launch game, so it's time is ticking too. GT6 drops soon, but I really don't want to spend another %60 on another racing game. Think i'll hold off and save up for a PS4 w/e those are back in stock retail.

One thing I hate about lockouts is the fact that having multiple classes are useless as well. How are you suppose to gear them all up if there's lockout in Coil and Myths?

I've read a good suggestion somewhere wherein the guy suggested that the lockout should be applied in a class basis and not the character itself. I don't see any drawbacks in that suggestion, unless someone can prove that it's bad for the game or w/e (which I doubt someone can), then please by all means, enlighten me with a better suggestion.

Only that:

1. It seems kinda silly to post that the game is boring on a forum about the game (when you can... you know... play another game... or maybe socialize about it with your IRL friends).
2. I'm absolutely enraged that some people have enough time to put into an huge MMO that they can become bored of it in ~2 1/2 months
3. You think that the majority of the people who are trying to do Titan now are idiots

Yea I only checked this thread because the premise made me angry. Shouldn't have replied to a thread when I was angry. Heck I think I'm making the same mistake again.
