So we are approaching the first patch and what was discussed back in beta is that they would like to have musketeer ready shortly after launch possibly in a patch.
So unless musketeer is being sneaked in as a Christmas gift to us 2.1, is there any chance on an update on this class and Job that will be released with it?

To me, this is hinting at 2.1, but I can't say this with full confirmation. ( Live letter is this month, featuring New in-game content) So if it is in 2.1 it will be then we hear about it!Quote:

For the classes and jobs, we will introduce them through patches because all of the Legacy players have level 50 jobs anyway. When we introduce new classes and jobs we will probably increase the level cap at the same time.
About what I want to introduce- it’s more like what I think I have to introduce. Something related to guns because the (musketeer) guild in the game. Something related to that I think I have to introduce.

Musketeer is already in the game prepared and all, just needs the NPC and quests that revolve around Musketeer. -

the add of a class, raise of level, add of an area are something you plan more of 1 years before, it's a lot of work. for a class you have to create design for the item, create skill, animation, AF, relic, quest line, balance,... it's a looooot of work, more than any add of content.

I see talk here from legacy player's saying that they need more leveling content, and certainly i agree that they need more content to play through and i understand the amount of work that has been put in over the past 2-3 year's into the game itself.
adding more story, more dungeon's, and new classes would be plenty appropriate for you legacy player's
But at the same time i do NOT think a level cap raise right now is smart, you cant just "raise" level cap's and not have new content at the same time.
You cant just raise the level cap without content. you need to add content for the level cap to be justified and appeal to player's, giving them a reason to level and play the new content
Raising the cap now or even in the next phew month's would be a huge slap in the face
But at the same time the general population and a large majority of the population are new, still leveling, still getting geared, still doing dungeons and working on all the level 50 content. -

There are plenty of server's with only 1-2 guilds that have actually got mythology sets and have cleared coils
So i agree new classes are a must, but level cap raising is something that need's to be heavily considered before an addition like that -

2.1 has kinda become the 'should have been in at release' patch so I strongly doubt any new classes/jobs will be coming in that one.
2.2, however, is going to focus on Shiva and the Gigas which makes it likely to also contain the other regions of Coerthas... if they plan to up the cap by 5-10 levels so soon after release they'd have to do it alongside new regions and 2.2 would be a prime candidate for that imo. -

If they do, it will be some kind of huge bombshell dropped at the last second (which will be awesome, but I'm keeping expectations low).
