Hi I'm not sure if this exists, but it'd be nice if we can have the game prompt us back in when Duty Finder is ready. As a fullscreen/window screen player I like to alt+tab for other stuff, and it's a real pain when I happen to miss the 40 second window nearly by seconds. For example, Starcraft 2 prompts the player back into the game when a match is found, perhaps we could have a similar function installed?

They really should add this, it boggles my mind that there is no taskbar highlighting or always on top desktop notification options with this game for the dutyfinder.
I play windowed and resize my browser window to not cover the part of the screen where the dutyfinder screen pops so i can read the web while waiting, but its a terrible workaround. -

They should add a DF pop notification to the Libra Eorzea app (which will hopefully on Andrioid soon...) so people don't miss out if they happen to be off getting some food or going to the bathroom at the wrong time!

I do not like the minimized sound because either I"ll have music playing, be somewhere else, watching YT videos, etc. Also, in-town sounds are really annoying and loud and it's too much of a pain toggling certain volume options every single time.

So you want the game to tell you when to pay attention? Instead of paying attention to the game? I play using the full screen windowed option and when the game is in the background... I can move my other windows (which are in front) aside so that I can see if I am about to get pulled into a dungeon. IIRC There are options where you can allow the game sounds to always play even if the game is not on focus. So try that.

Sometimes people only feel like logging in to dutyfinder for stuff, and use their computer to multitask while they have to wait 30+ minutes for a dungeon.
Not everyone wants to fish/craft/gather while queuing. Why are you so hostile to someone that wants a better notification system built into the game client? -

We all need a break or will be distracted whether it's even something as small as checking messengers, but even then, a DF can pop up and we miss it. My point is why not have this notification as an add-on to one of the game's features? Surely, it shouldn't be that difficult and it's not selfish at all, since this wouldn't hurt anyone. I play in full screen windowed mode. But I have 2 display. Never a problem.
Also when I'm playing the game... I'm playing the game. If I'm in the duty finder and it's taking a while I hope on a DoL and goto town. -

You alt-tab to check the location of a hunt log or gathering area and you "think" you are in a safe place. BUT WHAT'S THAT?! IT'S A FATE SPAWN!
Your icon on your task bar is now blinking telling you are under attack by a swarm of dodos.
You're replying to a topic on your FCs forum and your FC leader sends you an invite to go tackle BC while you're alt-tabbed. Your icon starts blinking indicating you have a pending party invite while alt-tabbed.
Seriously guys, this is a great QOL mechanic that should be in the game. Having sound always playing is not always an option especially if you play while people are sleeping in your home.
Many other MMOs do it. Why not this one? I loved it in Rift. -

Or maybe ask SE to start selling alarm clocks that hooks up to in-game activities that can be specifically set to the server your're in like Odin or Behemoth spawns so whenever they do you guys don't miss it in the middle of your sleep! I have a button that mutes BGM, and two more buttons that go from low->high volume and then high->low volume. If you want you can also add another button to mute all sounds ingame altogether.Quote:

Bonus, what also applies is you can tab out while in queue and hear it updating. If you stop hearing it update, you've likely been hit with an error. You can hear when the game loads you into the server. You can tab out while waiting for a rez and hear the notification when somebody tries to get you up.
No town sounds. No crafting. No BGM. No players/mobs moving around. No battle sound effects. The only sounds you ever hear are notification windows.
