Running out of stuff to, there needs to be more endgame content.

So far I have accomplished
-All battle classes to 50
-obtained 9/9 relics
-Farmed tombstones to have full darklight on every job except caster dps
-did coil 1-4 weekly only need 4 more pieces of gear for full ilvl 90 on my PLD
-All crafts to 50
-Crafted all hq crafting gear
-Leveled Botany and Fishing to 50, Mining to 25

What I have left to do
-Miner 25 to 50 (my only job that isn't at 50)
-Farm more tombstones for caster dps darklight (I don't even care for blm/smn all that much)

Honestly I can't even think of what I should be doing in this game. There is a lack of endgame content. Not even as hardcore about gaming as I use to be when i was younger but it seems like I capped out on almost everything there is to do. 1 short endgame raid doesn't cut it for me. Comparing this to other MMO there are at least 3 endgame raids at launch to give players a weeks worth of stuff to do.


And getting relics and darklight on all these jobs seems a bit pointless when there is nothing to challenge me on these jobs.

Suggestions on what I should do.

This is a serious answer. This is not sarcasm nor an attempt to mock you. If you have done all of those things by now, here's my advice:

Play another game. Seriously. No matter the quality of a game, if you grind it to the ground with too much playtime, you WILL get bored, that's how human beings are, repetition produces boredom. You should change it up once in a while.

And when 2.1 comes out, I suggest you don't burn yourself out, because you will be short on content rapidly.

I think you have pretty much broken the game...
Either play something else until next content is up or spend time helping people to reach end-game to increase your FC capabilities.

As someone else suggested, break up your playtime and go do something else til new content comes out.

Seriously. You played a lot. With the amount of content you've completed, we can only assume if there were twice the content you would have probably beat it too at this point.

Even if ARR launched with Crystal Tower on day 1, this thread of yours would still be created eventually. Maybe do something else other then gaming. At the rate you are playing, no games can satisfy you.

MY WORD! I can't imagine have done the things you have in this short 2 months of re-release, I don't want to band wagon with the others here but THEY ARE ALL RIGHT! play GTAV or some other game, or just leave XIV alone till the next patch. I have a PS3 360 and PC I game on and I juggle each as I feel like playing!

plus PS4 and Xone will be here soon, so focus on those while you wait for the next content update for XIV!

I do however commend you on your accomplishments on this game so fast, (seriously) I am impressed you are a serious gamer my friend!

Don't fret! More end game is coming no earlier than December! Your single thread wont speed up things because a company works on a timeline to produce product not on the whim of a whiner on a forums who will never be happy no matter what they churn out.

I'm not sure I see the OP whining though.... they have an actual valid point. They've done EVERYTHING you basically can do aside from gearing alt. jobs in coil gear and beating Turn 5 which isn't that much more to do.

These are the times I feel really bad for Legacy/1.0 characters. ; ;

Yeah I think I also agree with the majority here. Just find other games/activities to do while waiting for new content. That's exactly what I would do if I were in your position.

As others have said.. it might be time to give a new game some of your hours and just come back when there's more content. Major props to you for accomplishing so much! I thought I was doing good with one battle class to 50, all the crafting ones, and a gathering one.

Yes... They've been through everything they can do in a game that has been out for TWO MONTHS. I have been playing for a month and a half and still don't have a single 50. If you dedicate 8 hours a night to a game, and 12 hours on weekends, you are going to run out of content, especially if the game is TWO MONTHS old.

As soon as SE releases 2.1 he will probably have the content cleared in less than a month. The game is new. It hasn't been around for a years and a couple of expansions. TWO MONTHS. Yes there is going to be a lack of content. Yes there will be some grinding. If you play the game like it's your full time job, after a while, it will feel like a job. That is any game.

I play the game very casually. Usually i only get a chance to play it a couple hours a night. I have zero problems finding stuff to do, and i doubt i will ever have problems finding stuff to do.

Collect every minion.
Collect every barding.
Not sure about achievements.
Help guildies or lowbies on dungeons, collect all dungeon sets for future vanity slots.
Talk to every NPC with title.
For those NPC without title, trigger them to speak by getting near them, do this for all NPC in Eorzea.
Open up every map.

Anyway, agree with Yagrush...unless you are legacy player, you are spending too much time with FFXIV, lol.

Hehe, some of the achievements literally take a minimum of 4.5 years to complete. Would definitely keep him logging in daily for a while!

Unless Zumi is a legacy member, he would have nearly all 50's already before 2.0 excluding ARN.

wow. gratz on how far you have made it. curious about how much of that was accomplished in 1.0? though i am nowhere near this feat, i feel your pain... to some extent.
theses are my options in between Tuesdays.

1) quit for 6ish weeks til 2.1 or
2) think outside of the box.
*run 1st person P.o.V. runs all the way up to coil.
*challenge Ifrit in bathing suits.
*become a hired mercenary; sell protection to low end gatherer's that can't seem to escape those nasty critters.
*equip miner/ghost/stealth & wander around Toll scaring people.
*go on a crusade to mess up bots by kiting mobs to their gathering spots.
*run in 'vanity' outfits.
*go to starting level content and mentor the new.
*make a free company named 'Army of One' (haven't done this yet) fate grind Lightning when applicable and swim in XIII heaven.
*RP (not doing this)

at the end of the day only you can prevent forest f... umm, i mean only you know what will keep your interest.

If you've already consumed all the content before the first major patch, you will consume the next one even faster. I think you need to step away from the game for a while. And when you come back, you should cut back on how much you play at a given session. You obviously play too much to have all that done when I can play for 2-3 hours almost daily and haven't even done a fourth of what you've done.

I wish you all the fun in the world, but really? What did you expect considering the way you played. I have no empathy for you crying bordem and not enough content.

Do all luminary weapons, since it doesnt look like you get bored of doing the same things countless times (lvling alts and relics)

If 1.0 stuck around for so long, they would of maxed everything anyways minus ACN/SMN/SCH.

I'm legacy and had all 50 battle classes in 1.0. I have yet to run into issues with lack of content. I also work a stupid amount though...

Here is reality:

MMORPG's or ANY games for that matter, cannot and should not, be designed with people like the OP in mind. It's absolutely ludicrous to think otherwise. If you're going to absolutely (and I say this not to be a troll or a jerk) no life a game and play it like those people that die in Korean cafes, to the extent needed to have done what the OP has, then you don't need more content, you either need a constant stream of new games, or help in real life.

*Post edit: IF the OP is indeed a legacy player and has been playing since 1.0. it's much more reasonable and less scary that they've done what they have. Fact of the matter remains however, that unless extreme grind, RNG gating and other time sinks are instituted into a game like this, there are going to be people like the OP, and NO dev team for ANY game can keep up with them, period.

Even more so if we have to go threw 1-50 every time we level a new Class/Job. If the game starts at 50 then we shouldn't have to go threw 50 levels just to start the game. Which is why when he said it, I blew it off because it didn't make any sense unless we actually started at level 50.

Yeah, it kinda is how it is with all games. If a game doesn't give you something interesting to keep you hooked, you won't stay ( or buy even single player games for that matter). You are seriously telling me people will still play an MMO if they maxed out their "Areas of interest"? x.x

its kinda telling that many of us legacy players were able to stay interested in this game for years by finding various goals and avenues to pursue. imo, 1.0 had much more of a sandbox feel to it. sure it had its problems and issues, and i think many of these have been addressed in ARR. however, i can't help but feel that the conversion into a fully theme-park type of game, has reduced the longevity of this title.

i won't speak for others, but i feel like there's a definite end in sight and it sucks to watch it get closer and closer knowing it'll soon be time to move on to something else. many of my 1.0 FC/LS mates have already shelved this game due to a lack of new content. not all have maxed every possible aspect of the game, but many have maxed their particular areas of interest and no longer see much benefit in logging in. and to those saying this is how it is in all games, you are mistaken.

I feel the same way, IMHO i believe he said that regarding people complaining about the game being too easy to get to level 50. So he basically said that the difficulty is going to be ramped up for end game and I have to say, unless you have an FC with a group of people you play with every day, end game is pretty challenging.

Looking at your achievements, unless they are not listing correctly, you are missing some that you have not done from the main scenario quest. That is something you can do, finish your achievements? But in general it looks like you will burn through anything you get your hands on in short time. Perhaps waiting for the game to be around longer might also help. Not sure how much you like doing it but helping new players is also an option.

i respectfully disagree. some games don't rely on dev created content to get you hooked, they give players tools to create their own content. 1.0 was much more in this vein, the highest level gear wasn't tied to dungeons, it was tied to crafting and materia. we had much more flexibility with gear and there were no stat caps for materia, so you could get creative with the various types of high level gear and play styles they required. in ARR, all the high end gear is obtained thru one mechanic, running dungeons. and there's a remarkably bland formula to it all which reinforces very similar play styles. i understand that some find this approach entertaining, but as someone that spent years playing 1.0, it feels hollow.

I don't think it is wrong to say something good about a product that you are willingly paying money for on a regular basis for entertainment purposes. If you cannot say good things about it what are you paying/playing it for? There are too many choices out there, you don't have to pay to play a game you dislike.
