Commas... please... use... more commas. That was SO difficult to read.
Punctuation and spelling are your friends and are always glad to help you get your point across in a coherent manner. Please don't shun them anymore.
I think he said FFXI was a good game.
I think he said the RMTs will start a real estate business when housing will come and screw everyone.
First part is an interesting concern about how Gil Sellers might buy out all the housing plots on release.
The rest of it is praising FFXI as some kind of Messiah of the MMO world.
I think...
The houses that comes with 2.1 are for FC. Private houses come later.
1. A FC have many people. They can share the cost to make it cheaper. If the plot cost 2m and the FC have 50 members, then it would be only 40k for each one.
2. Yoshida want to make it easier to earn Gil ingame with 2.1
I want to debate, converse, and have a deep discussion, but my brain died after the first line....
....and here we go.

Er... What? FFXI had the Mog House, so it's not like housing is a completely new idea for them, it's simply revamped. Secondly, they're not copying Sony or Blizzard. I really wish these guys would stop comparing FFXIV: ARR to WoW since XI even came out before WoW.
If anything, they're just copying... themselves? Oh and please do us all a favor, and learn to type better. That was a train wreck ;w;
No no just let them buy alk the land and drive down the prices. More ppl that buy the land the lower the prices will be.
Ummm... I don't think LoL or Blizzard games have housing? Sony did though, if I recall. I am half asleep though.
When Devo had their one hit, I doubt MMO housing was on their mind.
And sure, I would happily give your right testicle or first born away for a video game update, even if I don't play it ♥
Our FC already has ovber 2 Million for the housing just from donations :)
Whoop dee doo! I've got more than 2 mil gil in my pocket just for candy.
Im trying to understand the OP's post but Im having a hard time, even with the translation. OP is upset because he thinks that RMT will buy all the big housing plots? Is that what Im reading here? And something about 11 being a better game? Or is he saying that 11 was worse? SO CONFUSED!
If i would be a gold seller with a Ass full off money, i would just make Several FCs with alle the Accs and Twinks i have and when its nothing left for the normal FC/People i would sell these FC or houses (if its possible to transfer them to another FC) and let the Customer pay a lot more than it was worth. Because everyone wants it and no other Houses are left then.
Just saying.^^ Another point where SEs shows how good they are in making MMOs lol. They should Focus on the Solo FF and spennt there all resources instead developing sutch a Bullshit.
Hey, you know how ffix and ffx weren't the same game and no one bitched about it? let's do that!
Gil Sellers will not create FC's and buy housing. That would be a dumb idea on their part. If this did happen it would help eliminate gil sellers as they would be connected in more ways than just the market place, making it easier to find them.
Also, if I believe i got this right, you cannot just transfer a house. You buy the land, and if you want a bigger one, you have to sell that land and buy a bigger one. It's not as easy as people make it seem.
What I hear from the OP is a paranoid and unthoughtful rant about how they want to play a pretty FFXI.
More and like if they do it right you need have entire story beaten, and a lot more stuff then just the gil and you will need some of the gill and maybe some elite gear grinds also to trade in. Most RMT just use hacks or bots or a lot of gil and not willing to take the time to play the game., So all they need to do is have system set up to play the game.
ummm something something something houseing bad, something something something RMT, something something something this game r fail.
I can't see gil sellers trying to get into some sort of real estate game because the way they've set housing up. Lots start at one price and the price drops the longer they go unsold (I believe they said it drops every hour in the most recent video). And since its instanced, they will just keep adding more lots. So if you buy a lot, the most you can get for it is that original price because people will just wait for the new instanced lots to go on sale instead. And since you can only sell lots and not houses, there's no "buy this fully built and furnished lot" either.
They might benefit from people buying gil in order to buy their house, but as has been pointed out that's partly why its only FC housing. Besides easing the load on severs (there are far fewer FCs than players), FC's have more access to gil than individual players and will be less tempted to resort to gil sellers. Not saying there won't be any that do this, but I think it will be minority.
You've read that housing will be in instanced areas, right? When the houses/plots in instance #1 fill up, instance #2 starts being used. There is no way to turn a profit in such a scenario. I'm not about to defend Square Enix's online game design but at least do your homework.
As for the OP, what about RMT? More people will be buying gil because of the (yet unknown) cost of housing? Total speculation. My FC has donated over 6m gil for FC housing/furniture/plot and we are far from hardcore. You're playing with the wrong people if you think you need to buy gil to obtain housing.
I think the Op is trying to say....
FC housing costs a *lot* of gil just for the land (auction system).
RMT sell gil.
FC's wanting to buy a plot of land quickly but do not have the funds (or members) may turn to RMT
RMT are going to offer mortgages in 2.1
The prices of plots of land will decrease every 6(?) hours, so using RMT to spend real money on an item whose value will consistently drop every 6 hours, bit daft really.
Did not read. No punctuation or proper capitalization.
I've already said my piece about the topic at-hand, but I just wanted to say... This has always been a terrible defense and a poor justification for errors. By your logic, it's perfectly okay for us to simply behave like neanderthals as long as we're not in school. I'm pretty sure proper grammar is appropriate for any occasion.
You don't simply just stop using it just because you're not in school any more. That's like a convict getting out of jail and telling someone, "Why should I follow the rules? This isn't jail."
Good grief.
Did someone say Mad?
Cause I'm here now.
I dont think you can resell plots or houses unless I'm wrong. Why would they waste gil they are trying to sell for real life money on things they cannot make money off of.
You need to have FC with certain rank to even start housing. So if RMT's wanna buy the land, they'll need to mass create tons of characters and form a FC to do this.
Now if SE know which idiot RMT did this, all they need to do is get the full list of FC members and ban all at once and that's that much more RMTs out of the game.
The fact that 70% of the replies are grammar cops, tells me he has a point and nobody can poke holes in it.
He's wrong but that's neither here or there. It's instanced housing. That means SE can add as much as they want. Add to that it's a blatant gil sink. let RMT buy the instances out. They can burn gil in maintenance. That's one way to get rid of RMT gil. Beats having innocent people banned and their gil removed.
You missed the part about purchasing the plots. Auctions, highest bidders, people with cash or rmt will run the prices up and people with lots of gill will control the prices of the lots pretty much and i think there was something in there about RMT's buying plots to wash dirty gill or something.
We dont know if there is maint yet. I have learned so far that just because its a certain way in other games it doesnt mean it will be the same here even if it benefits the game itself.
That was one obnoxiously long run on sentence.
If there was an Unlike button I'd press it. Learn to write please
Orrrrrrr... It could just be that his point is as bad as his grammar. Just because you point out someone's mistakes in making their point doesn't mean there aren't any holes in it. Personally, I don't see RMT being an issue with housing. That's like saying RMT would be involved with selling primal runs.
It's just not where their business lies.
Oh, that's how it's going to work? I've only been following the whole FC housing thing with one ear but I was under the impression it would be sort of a reverse auction system.
So lets say a large lot starts at 2m Gil. If you have the money you can purchase it right away for that price, or you wait x hours. After x hours of not being sold the price for that lot will then drop by, let's make up some number here, 100k Gil.
You can now purchase that selfsame lot for only 1.9m or you can wait for the next price drop.
Sure, someone else might buy the lot while you wait but with them opening up new instances as the current instances fill up it's really just a waiting game.
The only issue I see is two allied FCs wanting lots close to each other in the same instance but that can be planned too.
So what I'm getting at is, how would you drive prices up in this scenario?
Now I may be wrong in which case I apologize and would appreciate a summary of how the system will work. As I said I didn't really follow it as it's kinda far on the horizon for me.
