Coil Needs A Leaving Instance Notification

So earlier today myself and some rl/FC friends spent quite a few hours at our first coil run.

We finally beat the boss at the end of turn one, everyone was quite excited as you can imagine, and we stated everyone have a break for an hour.
One person went AFK and didn't press 'Pass' on the loot roll, the rest of us went through the portal believing that it was like the portal in any other dungeon (not named 'Exit'), which takes you to Turn 2.
This is not the case.

Apparently when you go through this portal, there is no warning that you are leaving the instance, there is no warning that any loot unclaimed will be forfeited, there is nothing, yet you do in fact leave the instance and go to a sort of Turn 2 waiting room.

Needless to say, both items were given to this one AFK player.
He returned to have 7 other people extremely upset with him and he felt so bad.
He wants/wanted the items to go to the correct players.

I contacted the GM's in-game and explained what happened, to which they replied

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with your request since we do not transfer items between players.

(great work SE, blanket ban thousands of players at once, remove gil, but can't rectify a silly mistake)

So basically I'm assuming SE support is going to be as useless as always and they will not be able to help me and my mates.
This does not mean that this should be fixed so that the same mistake is not made in the future by anyone else.

Firstly, the portal should be called 'Exit' like every other portal that leads out of an instance.
Secondly, there should be a notification alerting that "this portal is going to take you outside the instance and all unclaimed loot will be forfeited, do you accept?"

It seems like a common sense issue I know, but due to SE taking pretty much 3 months to make ToP/ToM changes, and being almost forced to run AK over 9000 times, I'm sure anyone would believe that a portal not named 'Exit' is not an exit...

No it doesn't. Everyone knows each turn is a separate instance (hence separate time limits, separate area names etc.) and you can't leave an instance without losing loot if it's not been lotted. In every single instance in this game you will lose your loot if you exit the area before it has dropped. There is a text notification when someone has received the loot. Just don't leave an instance (and don't afk!!!) before you've seen the loot going to the correct people and there won't be any problems.

I'm pretty sure it asks you're sure you what to go through to the next area o.O

Besides, you beat the boss...why would you take a portal before loot fell? Did you not think it would take you to another area?

I still don't know why Quartermaster/Master Loot is not implemented yet, its for these exact situations it is a useful feature.

known issue with loot in coil when people leave, nothing they can do about it for you. Sucks that one person went afk, but those who could need or rolled should know better than to leave before they see the loot has been awarded (its just a few min till the AFK would time out on the loot and pass as default.

Sucks, but 95% of this mess up is on you. the last bit is on SE for not adjusting this, adding a warning of leaving when loot still being rolled on, no master loot options for full premades, ect

Not going afk and/or not leaving the area (whether it's an instance or not) makes a lot more sense then having SE patch a stupid mistake.

So you want more hand holding because you didnt read, didnt pay attention? Sorry but thats your fault we dont need extra hand hold, you need to pay more attention.

your group needs a rule to pass loot before going AFK. Without a rule like that there is always room for "accidents" to happen.

How does having a warning telling you "You will lose loot if you exit" affect you, or anyone else in the entire universe negative in any way?

It doesn't, people make mistakes, there's ZERO reason why this can't be added.

I'm sorry so many people are being so offensive to you OP, you don't deserve it. People just like to be mean for no reason I guess. Having this feature would not impact anyone negatively in any way, and only help there be less mistakes like what happened to you.
