Just an idea...
It was kind of painful to look at my char lay down to sleep wearing DRG AF.
So yeah, some pj's (one or two piece) with varying styles (baby chocobo motif, seasonal motifs etc) and when used they increase the rate your rested exp fills.

With houses this would be cool especially for pajama parties..oh god here I go. I like OP's idea BUT only as a low priority suggestion because soo many things are urgent/crucial that need addressing first.

They do have racial/sex based "small clothes." My miqote has frilly pink boyshorts and a camise now.

Well I was suggesting it as some kind of nice reward in an event (like the ghost costume), maybe the design may be a re-skin each year, and with the added benefit of filling your rested exp at a significant but not broken extra rate (10~20% faster maybe, each year could be adjusted as the player base gets older and level cap increase)
The Pajamas party would be something that the community will do on its own like how are some people running dungeons in ghost costume just for fun. -

Jokes aside, I think they will introduce more casual in-town clothing once vanity slots are introduced, could get some PJ's then. -

I agree with the ideas above. A bonus for rested exp by sleeping with clothes for that. I also agree with casual in-town clothes for rested exp while you stay in sanctuaries or just for fun! too bad there's a lot of antisocial dudes playing this, but well... -

Isn't there a slight concern in that whatever outfit you log out in ends up on the Lodestone? So, if you go to sleep in your pants, the whole world can see your character in his/her undercrackers.

I prefer to sleep in my armor in case the town falls under attack, I don't want to be caught unaware. The ability to spring into action at a moment's notice for the safety of countless citizens is a small price to pay for not being comfortable while sleeping.

I sleep in my speedo and littleman harness from the summer event. Unless I forget and just sleep in whatever I was wearing. Kinda like real life.

Just bought our fc house and realize that you can't go barefoot at all.

I always thought he was passing out from exhaustion not really going to sleep in the nice air conditioned hotel room. Idk what you do in game all day but if I manage to crawl as far as an Inn I am def exhausted.
Bed clothes and footware aren't even going to come close to the list of "make me seem more real - less pretending." Really we're asking for virtual reality and the developer's workshop does not have the means yet. It would cost them - BUT MOSTLY US - to much money to make that kind of game. I live for when that kind of game is made but I hope it's a sandbox not themepark. It would be awesome to be a Final Fantasy tho! -
