Forced into a life of mining ore

Back in pre ARR I was a very active participant in the Balmung Pug scene. I would farm Primals all day long and I loved it. Now that this horrible story is in place, my life no longer includes slaying massive beasts and taking their treasure. You see, we are now being forced through a bad story if we want to unlock endgame content, and I refuse to subject myself to button mashing through walls of text and completing fetch quests. Each primal used to have a stand alone quest line that one would complete in order to unlock it.

So now there is nothing to do except mine ore.

Pathetic post is pathetic. Your character is crying because of the lines of slop you just comprised in this well-thought out thread.

The story is actually pretty great, and you're missing out on some really cool looking boss fights by not running the final instance of the game. Enjoy mining.

Yeah, you were drunk when you posted this.

I would simply suggest you find another class to level.

Bots got mining sewed up, you won't make a dime, though it is helpful mat-wise.

man, OP must really hate Final Fantasy games before 10, with all their nasty clicky text and all that

I cry for OP's plight. I went for the pointless fetch quests, so i know what crying (of boredom) feels like.

It is not a bad story. People just looking to complain about something.

Not really complaining. I said the story was so bad that I am choosing not to continue with it. I had to accept the harsh alternative to endgame, which happens to be mining ore.

Why the hell are you still playing/paying for the game then? Seems like a waste of time/money to me.

Each primal fight (except the Moogle King) needed to unlock with grand company missions in the right order.
You couldn't just kill Ifrit (hard) without finishing the Ifrit (easy) mission. You couldn't start Garuda (easy) mission without finishing the GC mission before it (the one with the deus ex machina if I remember it right).

No..no.. not lamp shade. YOU are going to be the top model for winter wear. As in coat, gloves, etc. But if you are not intrested in flashy stuff.
I can arrange you to be a model of mining gear, since you are most likely weather beaten and tanned. Make you a great ideal candidate for backpacks, gloves and boots.

You don't have to, you choose to. Stop making yourself look like a victim when it's your own decisions causing your frustration. If you refuse to play the awesome story then that is your choice, you are not being forced to do anything.
