Id rather they make more ways to get them than increase CM its already to easy.
There's a sticky right at the top of the front page for General Discussion about tonight's hotfix. The following is copy/pasted directly from it:
Quote:
The number of areas where you can acquire Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and Mythology will be increased as well as the amount you can acquire.
who said you need to do CM 50 time?
just casual ak for 3 weeks for relic +1 already give youu 1440 phil tome. Do not tell me you cannot run another 15 CM run in 3 weeks or 5 run per 7 days.
How about No.
They should make a place that isnt full of cut scenes to farm tomes. I swear to god if I have to run CM one more time I think I may be sick. It may be fast but I can't even contemplate running CM for my next job or my next. A few more places end game to farm tomes from would be greatly appreciated SE!
Sorry man, this game doesn't come with silver platters.
If they increase the amount in places such as Dark Hold, AV, Cutter's Cry, and WP to a higher amount I would be happy. An increase to Stone Vigil as well would be very nice.
I would rather more options for crafters than buying everything for tomestones.
Why, so crafters can grossly overprice popular items? i am glad tomes are this way, prices for certain items are set and will never change untill SE actually adjusts them.
I can't imagine how much of the DL stuff would cost if people could craft them, i mean look at HQ vanya item price tags.
The problem isn't how many we get its the fact we only get them in two dungeons, after tomorrow's patch it should be more bearable depending on how far they go, having them drop in all high level dungeons will be ideal from my point of view so we can change things up, also have a few from primals (not as many each run as a dungeon because the runs are much faster unless you keep wiping.)
We don't need to increase the speed of obtaining things, just give them more variety.
I'd rather see them drop the tomes to 20-30 in CM/Prae and increase other dungeons to 100-200 and increase more on primal battles too.
That works both ways. For all you know, they could have raised it by 200. So there's no point in saying it's too low before knowing how much they raise it. Pre-emptive complaints are pointless. even if you wind up right afterwords, big deal, you had a 50/50 shot. Even a broken clock is still right twice a day.
Oh ya, cuz duty finder is awesome and no one sucks enough to utterly fail at AK.
I had a 45 min que this morning for AK, and was left with a repair bill and a 15 min timer.
CM is a good gap filler, as it's compelte face roll, but the amount of tombs you get on completion is low considering you need 1300 just for chest.
I'm WHM and believe me, the chest is 1300. The fact it's head+ chest is irrelevant. Then it's some 375-475 for others. It takes forever, and AK is no solution. people fail. It's the same amount philosophy, with a bit of mythology but with alot more risk. ( re: people fail)
What a ASNINE comment. it's a MMO, there are 3 other people to point the finger at in a 4 man group. I don't recall saying I personally am the one with a a issue with AK. Again, duty finder or should I say derpy finder will amaze you. And transition dungeon? Of course it is. But you don't need IL70 to do a place that drops IL60.
That's the Tank chest piece, which if you look is equal the chest and head for the other jobs combined. You pay 1300 for that chest, but you don't have to buy a head piece as well.
If the entire party entering AK are fresh 50s, they're going to have a hard time.
That's why Wanderer's Palace is earlier than AK.
For most classes, the AK accessories are literally 1 stat point less than DL accessories, so there's lots of savings by sticking with those, and no real difference in effectiveness. Sometimes iLevel makes certain things seem like a major upgrade when they're marginal or nothing.
You do realize Vanya gear costs more tomes than Darklight, right? Given how people charge ~30k per Potash (and you need 9 to create 1 Vanya Silk), you can't exactly expect it to be cheap. And even when we get the necessary materials, it loses all of its value if you fail to HQ; sometimes it could be rotten luck, other times it could be disconnections. What I'm trying to say is that it's not precisely risk-free either.
Before accusing us of "grossly overpricing popular items", check the facts first. I would be happy if SE reduced the Potash requirement to 6 or so per Silk. At least that would make it more affordable and in consequence we could sell it cheaper.
