This is so annoying, I have like 5 credit cards and mog station isn't taking any of them so I can re-sub after my trial period ended.
What do I do in this situation?

Failing a direct solution, you can use an ultimate gametime card to load crysta, and then switch to crysta as the method of renewal.
I think there were some threads mentioning the difference between 401 and 601, where one was a browser problem, and the other related to a mismatch between country of card and the account but I am not positive myself.
I would search the general and technical support forums for 601 to see if you can find an alternative solution.
EDIT:

Sounds like 601 may also be a country of origin issue.
I would definitely try going for the Ultimate Pay option.
The VPN didn't work. And ultimate pay uses Crysta? When I go to add Crysta funds into my account I get error "(11000) A technical issue has occurred. Try accessing the site again. If the issue still has not been resolved, please contact the Square Enix Support Center."
I am seriously getting pissed off by this now. I can't use my credit cards, I can't use Crysta, apparently there is no way for me to re-sub to this game. And I REALLY want to play. Considering just dropping it and quitting because of terrible service from Square Enix.
I'm getting error 401, and 11000 when I'm trying to add Crysta.
Ugh, this isn't worth the stress.
Did your sub just expire today? Or is this an ongoing problem? If this is a EU account, you can use game time cards, and that is probably the only sane solution left to you as far as I can see.
It sounds like people in certain countries are locked out of crysta and that is what the 11000 error often is. Further it sounds like the payment system does a multiple time out lock based on how far away your IP address is from the registered country.
Either way this is really terrible. I am sorry. :(
well you're not alone..
same happening here x.x.. so stupid.. we just CAN'T pay wth...
weird I subbed on Saturday with my credit card and that worked fine, all I did was register my card and then selected what sub I wanted.
Why do you have so many credit cards?
How much debt are you in?
Are you using NoScript? or anything else that blocks javascript? I heard some people had issues because of that.
The other thing is, if you try a credit card and it does not work, you will have your ability to register a credit card locked for 24 hours. If you try again, it is automatically rejected for that 24 hours...and the lock is extended. Which means when you try again, it is rejected again, even if the method you are using should now fix the error. Not to mention there is no way to see if the lock is in place and for how long.
If you submit a ticket they will send you an automated reply telling you exactly what you already knew from when your credit card was first rejected. Reply to that and they will send you a message saying your bank is at fault for rejecting the payment and there is nothing at all wrong on their end (insert eye roll here). Check with your bank and confirm that in fact they are not receiving any charge attempt at all, reply to SE's email to tell the that, and THEN you will get a response with an actual phone number. If you are outside the US, use skype to call. You can use skypeout, or set your country temporarily to the US in skype and then you should be able to call for free. Hopefully they can then straighten it out...maybe.
In my case (country mismatch), the VPN solution did not work the first time because of the automatic lockout. Before calling the number I eventually got (which took several days), I tried the VPN again and it worked because the auto-lockout was no longer in place. I hope it works for you!
Well I just got off with the chat support guy and blahlahblah basically it's been an "issue" and they're "working" on it so nothing can be done right now so we CAN'T play the game or pay for it even if we wanted to.
It seems like my case is the country mismatch thing too. How do I know how long the site is locked out for so I can use the VPN? I know I tried using my CC like about 12 hours ago.
This was my issue, and the script I needed to allow refused to make itself "see-able". I had to turn off NoScript, make the transaction, and then turn it back on after. Any browser security settings that block JavaScript will definately stop your transaction with an error. The error unfortunately states that your card failed, when it was never actually processed.
If anyone finds a solution to this, please let me know.
I tried using a VPN, openVPN, while ASSUMING 24 hours have passed, but it didn't work. :|||| Does the lockout stack? For more than 24 hours?
