Agree, story missons should be far more challenging and require a party.
Speaking of Titan, why was he even teased during XIV's marketing campaign, when we cannot even actually encounter him ingame?
Probably expecting to raise the level cap at PS3, but we seen how that went.
As for missions, keep them solo but add additional fights at the end of the series or at a certain point where we require a PT. Like what they did with Divine Might, Apoc. Nigh, etc. from XI.
I know most people should know this event happens by now. But really did you have to put the spoiler in the title. I'm sure theres atleast some people who didn't know you fought the Primals in the storyline yet.
Until SE stop treating gathering and crafting classes as equals to battle classes the story missions will always suck. It's one thing XI did way better, and one thing I hope the new development team changes. I don't know ANYONE who would want to do their missions as a crafter or gatherer yet SE caters to the 0.001% who do. You should be forced to rank up a battle class if you wish to do the story missions. If you don't want to, tough, go play something else. We won't miss you. The story shouldn't suck just because a handful of people want to throw rocks all the way through.

As I posted this I was thinking about Sanji from One Piece...oh boy.
The point is that those characters can "Fight" where as crafters in this game are limp noodles in the fighting department.

Now this I agree with. One thing XIV is severly lacking, is story elements to take on with a party. I didnt like that XI required a party for almost everything, but that doesnt mean I want to solo everything. An even mix would do fine. A couple solo missions and then a must have party mission for every set would be idea.
What would've been even better, is if the crafting classes could attack/debuff or buff as they were initially supposed to.

Story mission need to have more cut-scene involving our party member too.. it is for a good memory between friends.
Sorry but i'm calling BS on this. THeir is NO ONE who is only a crafter and a gatherer. Everyone, EVERYONE has a fighting class, DOM, or DOW. NOw their 2nd CHAR might only be this because thats what their doing but theior 1st CHAR has all. Until we see your proof, FAIL.
My Proof is look at any Char and ya they have 3/4 classes.
All this does is remind me of how badly I want to play a Summoner class. D=
