There are players that goes AFK without saying anything. Because of this person not participating it’s impossible to complete the dungeon, and there is nothing for the rest of us to do but to leave. When that happens we’re the one getting the penalty, don’t you think that’s weird? I would like a vote kick feature.

To have a vote kick feature while using the Duty Finder is not hard to do technically, and we are planning to release.
ただし、気に入らないプレイヤーを故意に排除するといったように悪用される危険性があるため、 極力問題が起きないような仕組み作りに注力しています。そのため、具体的な実装時期については 確定していませんが、パッチ2.1に導入するかどうかを含めて検討しています。
However, there is a possibility of this feature being used wrongfully, therefore we are focusing to make sure these type of problems don’t occur as much as possible. For that reason, the release timing is not confirmed yet, we are looking into if we’re going to implement this in patch 2.1.

I saw some good suggestions from players, no credit if you aren't in the boss area, and so forth. However I can't help but think VTK is the way to go.
Just make sure to add, reopen instance, this way a problem player can be kicked, and a player who deserves the run can stop staring at the DF timer and come in.
That's how we did it in the last mmo I played, 6 outta 8 say you aren't doing your part they are probably right.. same with 3 outta 4. -

I always tick that option by default. Often find runs of Praetorium and Wanderer's Palace in progress where people just need a bit of help to finish it or some moron spit their dummy out and left.
Vote kick is fine to a degree but i can see it being abused. They will get a lot of reports of players ganging up on people and threatening to kick if they don't do things their way i'm sure. -

Minimum number for VTK join group together. Friends, FC, etc. Boss dies or is nearly dead then VTK everyone else. No loot for you.
_ Probably can be minimized by saying no VTK in combat, while loot being rolled, or while a spawned chest is unopened.
Clear to last boss of dungeon, VTK to make room for friends in the queue. They get 5 minute tome rewards.
_ Cooldown on VTK perhaps. Doesn't completely solve if the friend can be reasonably sure they're first in the Join Party in Progress queue.
Stuff like that... -

Every time vtk comes out in mmos there is the crying that "oh no its gonna be abused!"
People don't just kick out of spite, if you ever find yourself removed from a group there is a reason. Also why force yourself on four or seven strangers that obviously do not want to play with you.
Vtk be added is a great feature and a needed one. -

They could make it so a player meets certain requirements before a vote is possible, such as inactive for 10 minutes or so. Other criteria such as bad behavior would be hard for the system to measure - or impossible even. Also players shouldn't be kicked for being inexperienced or playing poorly as long as they are trying. I have a feeling this is going to be limited to afk-ers. And equipment requirements are going to be implemented, so that's a non-issue.

It certainly is not an option that should be available to every player. With as long as the dungeons in this game are, this game will start bleeding subs like a stuck pig if stuck up try hard but still so bad players get access to it.
VK should only be placed in the hands of responsible players and made available to others only when a player has been inactive in a Full Party for more than 5 minutes.
I believe that it should tie in with the MVP program. -

Either on the side of "Skip cutscenes or leave" types or the "I can't take it that this person is getting mad at the party for getting things wrong" care bear types. Do you really think people always get kicked for good reasons? I'd say in MMO's like 60% of kicks are for something dumb.

The way it works now, when a df group has a mix of players with different experience levels (like it always does), usually when things don't go perfect, the impatient ones will simply leave. With a vote to kick system that allows players to initiate a vote for any reason, that will change. If it's a simple majority, any 5 members can vote someone out for something as simple as dying on the first boss. People are entitled to play the game they paid for regardless of how good they are. And the df exists for them. The ability of other players to prevent someone from participating in a dungeon should be extremely limited.

On the Dev tech (jap coverage) they already specified that it can not be used to simply kick players because you do not like them. The vote is intiated, has to be agreed on by all players, for afk players, which then have to respond and their character has to be within such a distance of other players.
Keep in mind they can submit a abuse report so abusing it can result in ban or penalties as well. -

If vote kick is the only adjustment to duty finder and dungeons, its just going to make the problem worst. Really looking at the overall system, this is the least needed thing atm. The biggest problem with the duty finder is "join in progress", simply put its not worth it, you spend nearly as much time looking for a group in progress to join an empty or near empty dungeon that usually is missing a healer or tank that have already been waiting 30+ minutes for one. I finally got to the point that I don't even bother clicking the join in progress button cause 9/10 times it ends up being a fail for setting me up with a group. So now we already have this system where its hard to find extra members to replace someone who may of d/c'd or quit, but now we are going to add a method to remove members on the whim, ya that's going to help.

What we need is when joining in progress be able to see things like time left, how many are there already (like the duty status shows) and the option to continue waiting. Inside people need to have the option to wait or re-que with higher priority and of course simply leave. If they choose to wait, then for some sorta set time 5-10min they can't leave, god I don't know how many times I joined to see ppl running past to leave. Giving those forced to stay in for a set time and showing those trying to enter whats left would make "joining in progress" worth checking.

This game isn't World of Warcraft. In wow you sit in queue for 15-20 minutes and complete a dungeon that takes 15 minutes to complete. In FFXIV, you sit in queue for 40 minutes and complete a dungeon that takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour+ to complete.
VKs are more about players complaining about everything under the sun than a player being such a detriment to a group that you cannot kill a boss within 3 or 4 attempts.
It is a needed feature in some capacity, but not with the accessibility some players desire.
Blizzard is probably the best company out there that owns an MMO. You can find that offensive, you can be annoyed by it, you can think that I am full of shit and that SE can do a better job than Blizzard, but I have been playing World of Warcraft since 2008, and the work these people do on the technical side is impeccable.Quote:

But these people say they do things about bots and wintraders. Then they make a sweep and end up banning a bunch of legit players, there are players always seeing bots and wintraders, submitting proof of their actions and nothing gets done.
Game has been plagued with gil sellers since like the first week of this game. You'll have to excuse me if I am a little unenthusiastic about the motion that anything will be done about it. If anything, it could serve as an almost empty threat to abusive players.
Meaning, disciplinary action could be taken, but probably will not be taken. -

After running hundreds of dungeons with it never once did I find myself kicked, run into people "abusing it". The people who are incapable of policing themselves are the ones who need to be policed. Votekick hopefully will tone down a lot of the bravado that comes from both sides, by which I mean elitists who scream at newbies and ignorant newbies who refuse to listen and instead spout profanities.
As a tank and a healer who queues CM/AK/Pr multiple times daily, I have across many players on both sides of the spectrum that will have to adjust their behavior or face getting kicked from groups. In the end, nobody wants to play with someone that is unpleasant. Most players can tolerate a humble newbie but will instantly flip a table at an ungrateful one. -

Else, please also provide us with Recount together with VK. I've been waiting to kick all those geared idiot dpses that probably does same damage as tanks my whole FFXIVARR life.
