I have been HACKED. Please boot the character off of my account!!!

I changed the password and added a one-time password to my acocunt. Will a GM please kick the person that hacked onto my account off of my account before he/she takes my gil and everything? Please please please please please.

forget it. Gil and fire/water shards gone.

ive read you can deactivate and reactivate your account and it'll boot anyone logged on.

Keep talking to live support. Lucky for you, SE has a security token policy that if your account is hacked with the token on it, SE will reimburse your account seeing as they blame themselves for having a token account hacked in the 1st place. GL on getting it back. :/

Yeah if she changed it after the hacking there's no point. But if she had a OTP beforehand, SE will take blame.

If it were there prior, it would be a strong indicator that there is an issue with their security. I doubt it though.

This does not work. Tested a few minutes ago.

I think you have to keep it disabled until some kind of schedule checks your account's status and shuts it down.

Has anyone that has been hacked ever been able to recover their account?

It seems to me that once you've been hacked you might as well forget about your account.

Even in the recent maintenance log about RMT they've stated that they've closed "X" amount of accounts, and I'm pretty sure some of those include people who weren't involved in RMT but were hacked as well.

Yep, I'd disable it a minimum of 2 hours. The lowest amount of time I've heard of is an hour. I know patience is in low supply on these forums lately, but ya gotta muster a little more somehow :)
