But as a bard I have 3 useful songs, and they are not even a song.... What kinda bard is this?

Ahhh, good memories... I wish one day I had a chance to play another MMO where ppl can sit around a campfire, cooking & singing for each other, enjoying their time as the night pass... There's no other timesinks as much fun as in Mabi <.<

Yes, I hope they revamp bard at some point. Currently it's just a glorified archer, not bardy at all. It should be about buffs, debuffs, and party support, not damage.

So go play mabinogi then? their bard is fun for roleplaying purposes, but FFXIV did something original with it and I'm happy with it.
I hope they don't revamp it, because its a lot more than a glorified archer. It's the most unique implementation of a bard i've seen. It's actually fun to play, whereas in FFXI it was the most boring job in the game. The songs are useful, it does good damage, and sometimes that non-healer having the healing limit break is actually a blessing.
Just because it wasn't crafted in the image you had in your mind doesn't mean it's a bad class with problems or needs revamping.
What other game has bards that shoot with a bow? I can't think of one. I love the design of the Artemis bow especially, I wish that all BRD bows were set up like that- bow harps. original weapon design, original class design.Quote:

XI's bard was more original and more in line with how they've done it in FF games up to that point. Bard in MMOs were always branched off Rogue or an Assassin type class if not given a unique instrument (Guitar, Mandolin, Flute etc.) Though you could have been sarcastic..Quote:

I also hope they revamp BRD. People always said they found it boring, but what about those of us who enjoyed it in XI?
The current BRD just doesn't support enough, the songs are so incredibly one dimensional that it's painful. I just hope that with the level cap going up, we'll get a load more utility songs. I don't even mind that it's a damage dealer.
Not having cures or raises is even more silly. Even a song raise would be cool.
