Had an issue after zoning into the hydra fight that the quest was lost. Still have unfinished Thyrus equipped but Gerolt tells me I have to start over again.
Tried posting this in the multiple bug reports thread where it should be but, I am not allowed to post there for some reason.

Same here I am not allowed to post and lost quest progress on titan and i not abandon quest
