ALL relic quest progress lost...

I initiated my Summoner relic quest over a week ago. I completed all parts of the quest until titan. I fought and killed titan today as a summoner. When i returned to the quest giver the only option i had was to start the Relic Reborn quest again... It seems ALL my progress in the Relic quest was reset (not by me) my guess is as a result of maintenance. It is as if I had never even started the Relic Reborn quest. I have invested over a week of my life and most of my gil into getting to this point in the quest. I would be devastated if I had to lost all that hard work on this quest for reasons outside my control... I ask that you please help me with this as I should be at the point where titan is defeated in that chain of quests. I also have proof in the form of a Summoner's titan weapon ( I received it after the win)

I just wanted to reply to this thread because I had something similar happen myself. I was on the part of the quest to kill Hydra when I enrolled in the duty finder. After awhile I noticed that my quest log was completely empty. I attributed it to lag or something and went into the dungeon. After I exited my quest log was still empty, so I restarted the game but still nothing changed. I checked my inventory and saw that I still had my unfinished Gae Bolg. On the off chance I went and talked to the blacksmith NPC. Lo and behold he wanted me to start the entire quest chain over again.

I submitted a ticket to the help desk but the only responses I've received were about the repercussions of abandoning a quest and losing all progress. I've clearly stated to them that I in no way abandoned/canceled the quest. An actual response from someone instead of a generic reply would be most appreciated. It's comforting to know someone else experienced a similar problem. I feel for you.

Hello there, folks. I'm sorry to hear about the dropped progress, I know I'd be furious if that happened to me. This is an issue that has occurred and been reported quite a few times, and we're currently discussing how best to handle getting everyone resolved with the dev team. Please be patient with us while we work out the best solution, and once we've settled, I'll do whatever I can to make sure everyone who has been a victim of the issue is properly addressed. Until then, I'm going to go ahead and leave this thread open so that anyone who is affected by the same issue can put their information in, to make it easier for us to locate at a later time. 2/2 unable to complete hydra battle, "Duty complete" appears on screen but then we do not zone out of the dungeon. Relic quest is locked at this point in time and unable to proceed. I appear to have the same issue as Davebruberry. I submitted separate tickets on each occurance and have failed to recieve information regarding the issue.

i have a similar problem too but im not very sure if it was me being stupid or the bug. i was abandoning Lancer quest that i in my Log and im PRETTY PRETTY sure i didnt click on the Relic quest at all and then i realize that my relic quest is missing(up to chimera). went to get the quest from Gerolt..have to start all over again

Timeframe: September 15 2013, a little after 11pm EST. Shortly after exiting Garuda, the quest was gone and when I talked to the NPC it asked me to begin the quest anew. I had defeated Chimera, Hydra, and Hard mode Ifrit at the time. However this happened after trying and failing at Garuda.

I got my 2nd job (Bard) to Lv50 and was trying to do the Relic Weapon Quest for that job. The quest dialog told me that I have to abandon the current one to accept this quest for another job, so I did. End up lost both of my quest requested items just to find it all my progress were lost. It hinder me greatly and I can not afford another quest weapons for both of my jobs. I wouldn't mind redo the quest but at least I need my quest items back.
