FFA PVP Servers.

I want open world pvp, but it obviously wont happen.

Not open world but you can look at duty finder anytime you want to PvP when it becomes available.

Would be nice to have at least one of the duel functions from other mmos. Always fun to battle a friend randomly.

How about just an FFA game type?

I hope never. PvP always seems to ruin games, especially if it wasn't planned from the start. I can just imagine now, the few people who play on the servers would moan and complain that their class was gimped, and so and so needs to be nerfed while theirs needs to be buffed. All while ignoring how they perform in PvE.

PVP is coming the first being 4v4 and 8v8 in patch 2.1 and also frontline which will be large scale faction PVP. PVP in FF XIV ARR has been outlined since the start, not to mention Yoshi P is a massive PVP fan.
