Moogle Delivery Service
I accidentally mailed some gil to a friend's character which apparently he ditched (Account and character entirely) and made a new one with a character with a similar name.
Do the mails that are unopened get return to the sender after a period of time?
-
I don't think so. Have you tried to re-create the character on the same server with the same name? Or can't your friend re-create it?
-
More like, he made the character during trial period and then had to change his account for some reason; it's now expired and he wont be able to log back in with that said character.

Bump, cause I'm also curious about this.
I hope the mail does get returned. That would be just, you know, logical.
Anybody got any sure info from Square or something?
-
Well - it really depends - if the character was not deleted and just abandoned it will be still "active" in the SE's books (as theu want you to come back and reactivate your sub and still have all your characters there).

I'm pretty sure it has been eaten by the warp. I have noticed a lot of MMO's that don't have the 30 day return feature. For example, in SWTOR if you sent a mail to someone, it would come back after 30 days if they did not open it. But that was the first time I ever saw that feature work. But I could be wrong, because its a nice feature.
