Lag spike threads in the Resolved Issues forum and request for an official statement.

Why have these threads about the severe lag spikes been moved into the 'Resolved Issues' forum when they are far from being resolved?

The forum is for 'Issues that have been resolved by the original topic creator, other players, or by the support team.' but none of these criteria have been met yet.

It would definitely ease mine and other peoples minds if they were in the 'Being Addressed/Currently Reviewing' forum.

Also, it would definitely help if an official statement were made at least acknowledging that the issue exists. From what I have seen, no such statement has been made. *If I am wrong about this then please do correct me.

I don't think SE realizes how big RCN is and how many major areas they provide internet for in America. This is not some small IPS.

They are aware of the issue: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...P2P-throttling , people make a lot of threads about this issue also not only RCN has that issue other ISP have that issue aswell.
I agree it should have been put in being addressed but theres a lot of threads about this issue and theres already an official one which I linked.
For now I recommend using a VPN until this is fixed.
I had my hopes that the issue was fixed when I saw it in the resolved area but its not fixed :x

Yeah but the problem is that we are not exactly getting any information back from them either. Saying you are aware of a problem is not the same thing as updating your customers. Besides, for RCN, the problem only happened AFTER the data center expansion. I also don't understand why SE has someone else host their servers instead of having an actual location where you own them. The problem comes from their hosting company that they got the expansions from. There are numerous threads where the packet trace leads to a company that isn't owned by SE. Major MMO's do not rent servers lol. Imagine of WoW or games like League of Legends rented their servers lol
