Hello everyone , if you are having latency issues where you experience lag spikes ( where the game seem to freeze but after everything that happened goes in fast forward ) and most of the time followed shortly after by an error 90000 and a disconnection from the server, please post here something like that :
Character Name :
World :
ISP :
Does it happen only on one world or character ? :
When the problem started happening ? :
If you are unsure about something just leave it blank , after that if you have any more information you would like to add please do so but keep it short with as much information as possible. We don't want complains or tricks you may think will fix it here it's a thread to focus everyone with that problem at the same place so Square Enix can see it more easily.
Edit: It appears someone found the cause of all this , i would link the thread but i can't remember the name of it and i tested it myself and it is true.
When we log in into our World the game assign us depending on our location a server , do not mix server and world , servers are the IP Address you connect to in order to play the game. It seem some of their server are overloaded or are having other kind of issue , i'm not a technician so i do not know the real reason. There's nothing you can do so far to change your server.
Why do we think this is the cause ? Because if you go to a friend and play the game ( Assuming he's not on the same server with his connection ) you won't get that lag while being there , but the moment you go back to your house with your own connection the lag will restart because you will connect to the same server that was causing you to lag and disconnect. Also if you are familiar with VPNs you can try to connect to one , it will also change your server because the game will see a new connection , i just did that myself and i was able to play for 3 hours with no latency issue or disconnection ( other than the VPN lag because it's far from your own so maybe 100-300ms ) but if you have the issue that's still A LOT better than not being able to play at all )
Spread the word if you can to SE , friends , family anything so this information can reach SE because so far we have 0 information from them about this issue.
