Mercy Stroke

So, how often does everyone use this ability? More often than not, I simply forget to cast it as the damage is negligible, and the chance of hitting the KB in a dungeon is minimal.

If possible, I would like to see the skill evolve into something like an execute attack. Yes, I am stealing a WoW term and ability, but that is what it reminds me of. Have it be on use at 20% or less HP of the target, and do more damage/healing based on the amount of Wrath you have accumulated. Something along those lines anyway. Currently, I just feel the skill is too weak to really be utilized.

I said in another post take away the damage portion, make it a self buff that if your target dies within 5 seconds you are healed. At least you can use it as a self heal when soloing or when your doing trash in instances. It hits for maybe 150ish crit at lvl 33 and thats light s sliver of health even on trash in instances. So hard to time.

Pretty much this.

Its a great heal if you get it off even better if you can do it in a dungeon mid fight but its so damn hard to time correctly.

I just use it as an instant attack in my rotation whenever the target dips below 20%. It's a useless piece of shit skill that needs to be redesigned. Its value as a source of healing is zero, especially in groups where it's simply impossible to get the finishing blow with an attack that does like 150 damage when the target is taking ten times that amount per second. It's like trying to hit the bull's eye of a target painted on a passing racecar.

I can usually land the final blow with Mercy Stroke at about 5% hp left of the mob, getting return of 500+ hp.

I use it because its off GCD but the ability is awful

First off it shouldn't MISS at all.

Second it should do twice the damage it does for the long cd it has

Also has anyone noticed how underwhelming the effect is? No sound, recycled animation and really boring for an execution attack

I agree that it feels like it should at least do a little more damage, it feels so weak for it's description.

I typically only use it during trash pulls for the HP tick you can get from it. But when you have defiance up, the damage is basically negligible. So outside of trash pulls I really don't touch it.

its a free off the GCD that doesn't interrupt you combo 100 damage its not THAT bad... could just be tweaked a little.... ok alot lol

I had it macro'ed to my Heavy Swing and Skull Sunder buttons then forgot about it. I only remember I have it then when it triggers occasionally during trash pulls.

in a group where i know i more that likley will not get the final blow, i throw it in there ASAP for a little extra DPS since its off the GCD.

but i agree would be nice, if it gave a debuff. lasting 5 seconds or say giving that same efffects of healing or something.
