Buff Enkindle - Summoner spell

Yeah like the title says; please buff the Enkindle spell for Summoner.

Enkindle got a 200-300 potency depending on what pet uses it.
It got a 300sec cd.
The AOE is fairly small.

Meanwhile we have BLMs who got flare with a potency of 260, (which is about the same dmg as Enkindle). So far everything is good, except a BLM can cast it again, and again as long as he/she has mp for it (convert etc). and a 2.5recast timer... >_>

How does that make sense?

What I'm asking for is that they either reduce the cd on the ability or increase the potency.

EDIT: Just wanted to add; been speaking with quite a few SMNs already and we all agree on that the 5yd aoe range for their signature move should be at least doubled to 10yd radius :P let me know if you agree

same goes for RUIN , is a 2.5s nuke still does 80 potency .....vs stone blizzard and fire ...140.....lol

Even worse is Tri-Disaster and Miasma II.

Tridisaster is hitting for a pitiful 60 damage on a 3 second cast time.

Miasma II is a horrible 20 initial, 10 dot poteny pbaoe.

Then you have the pet commands not including Enkindle. Both the Ifrit and Garuda got a 30 sec ability that does a 80-90 potency AoE...


Summoner has virtually no burst aoe at all and it really guts him in dungeons like Vale where you have to kill all the eggs in time on the final boss. Bane just doesn't cut it.


I dread Garuda hard mode on summoner when it comes to feather killing duty...

I agree, SMN feels really underpowered atm, and the fact that I'm not heavily penalized when my egi dies in a boss fight, just shows how little damage they do. Not to mention their low amount of hp >_> Only Titan-egi has enough to take a beating.
Hope that they buff Summoner in general, if not, then at least up the dmg on their pets; 80-90 potency is ridicules. Even garuda-egi Wind Blade does low dmg.

Have to agree with the above. I got miasma II today and when i used it i was like wtf is this? Summoners needs a small buff overall.

Summoner is actually really high dmg right now. and ruin potency is low because your petnuke makes it the same as all the other classes nukes

This, they're REALLY high single target, and AoE is high over time, but no burst AoE.

That's the only thing they're lacking, and imo, why we have Enkindle.

Summoner has high single target damage? I am not seeing it at all what I am seeing is all the other dps classes leaving us in the dust in terms of damage. Watching my brother dragoon annihilate enemies in seconds and watching my friends monk crush things yeah I am not seeing this HIGH single target damage. Heck even warrior has a 300 potency attack that they can use often and lets not forget giving them back huge amounts of hp.

Talking with other summoners on this forum, on twitch and in the game too and they all feel their damage is pitiful compared to other classes. I ignored them I kept saying to myself its going to get better and its not.

I am re rolling to a black mage and right now I am melting peoples faces off.

I find their damage doesn't really seem very high because it takes a bit for all their dots to get up, but once they're there... bosses melt.

Miasma 2 seems more utility based, IE, you get agro and have mobs on you, pop it (instant cast) and they all get the slow debuff while you run away to your tanks loving arms

But yes, please buff enkindle, it seems very underwhelming on a 5min CD (although if you pop spur and rouse 80% extra damage is what like 540 potency?) I think CD should be lowered, not damage increased
