PT Buff is overpowered

Doing 5 star R40 leves with a full PT...we just zerg everything now (moreso than before). It's a bit much, I think.

Actually I'm a bit surprised about those buffs, I thought they were meant the help the light parties o.O I mean a full party is already stronger than a light one...

It's not the buffs. Those things weren't hard to begin with.

you shoulda see the signet buffs in ffxi >.> and just from fov pages. and you didn't need to be in a party. idm why complain? try grinding mobs outside of levels that check "very tough".

Youre rank 48, I sure hope a 5-star r40 leve didnt give you too much trouble lol. BTW they ninja-adjusted the difficulty of 4 and 5-stars when they made it 8 players for the optimal SP gain limit. prior to that, 5 stars was beast hard for even R48's (especially mongrels)

Kilta, I know about signet buff in FFXI. I played FFXI for seven years.

The reason you don't know why I'm complaining because you don't play FFXIV. If you did, you would know it isn't as simple as "finding IT mobs". These are 5-star R40 leves. The levequest mobs don't get higher level than that.

To put it in perspective, our PT consisted of 8 people ranked 46-50. The mobs we were fighting were rank 66. How easy was it for a PT in FFXI to kill a mob that outleveled them by 16-20 levels? Well, we can now easily take out 2-3 of them at a time in FFXIV.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but it's irritating when people comment on things they of which they have no knowledge.

Reika, I'm R49 now. ^_^ And no, the 5 star R40 leves gave us no trouble. That's the problem.

Now, I'm not sayin' get rid of the PT buff, but if I didn't know better, I'd say they calculated the buff before balancing monster strength for smaller parties.

I still can't judge them until SE finishes placing the foundation. Hard for me to say its OP if the game is still being changed drastically.

cuz all ppl do is levequests no one took the time to find camps outside of levequests under the reason of "getting one shot by a red con mob" or something to that effects.

the only reason ffxi had party camps was players found them and spread the word.

Not true. Plenty of people do traditional grind PTs. I see shouts all the time of people forming PTs to grind on raptors in Coerthas.

In FFXI, people found party camps and spread the word because party camps were the most efficient way to level. In FFXIV, linking levequests is the most efficient way to level.

This is true. It could be that SE's idea is Step 1: Make sure it works, Step 2: After we're sure it works, make it challenging.

If that's the case, better level as much as you can before SE balances things. :D
