I know I'm not the only one, but I was suspended from the Beta forums (not the game) during phase 4 when providing constructive criticism about the AWFUL experience. I explained and justified why they are not ready for launch, and should be ashamed of themselves. I did call one employee at SE out by name, so I was 'officially' suspended because of this in the forum agreement.
- Posting content with the intention of criticizing either Square Enix staff or specific individuals.
They didn't like my comment, suspended me, and now look... I only have a MS in Computer Information Systems, what would I know about running a server farm....
I'm one tick away from going public to IGN, Gamespot, etc with the email I received. There are not many Americans who would agree with a suspension because a dissatisfied customer complained (reasonably). I want the game to be a success, but if SE is not onboard, we may all be hopeless...

I'm not scared to come forward either. I was suspended on 2 separate accounts due to expressing my dislike for the direction the game was going. I will speak vaguely as to not get suspended again. If you censor all criticism and only allow complimentary things come through (in all aspects of life) then it is much easier to control the will of people. Now certainly I don't think there was any insidious intent on the part of SE it is just frustrating when your opinion (on a public forum) is erased/banned.

I have a great idea: I'll tell them to completely redo Ul'dah because of the picture it portraits of society and tell them so because of my sociology degree.
that will be a BLAST. and don't even let me get started on the implications of allowing male players to create female pussycats. they really did a huge mistake not checking a player's identity card to make sure that at least .most. female chars are actually female players. (female players playing male chars is perfectly fine, though!)
