With ARR's appearance re-do option for Legacy Characters, there appears to have been a slight oversight with the seasonal items that were locked to a particular gender, for example, The Moonfire-faire's Yukata.

This is by no means an essential addition to the game, but as these items have a sentimental value, with a change of gender on my character it would still be nice to exchange these items (perhaps with the salvager like they do with ingredients currently) for a male version of the item.

I can understand this is not a high priority, but should the development team take a notice/note of this, I feel the 1.0 players who've encountered the same problem as me would be very appreciative.

I disagree. Seasonal gear is very essential to enjoying a game. I hope they have some summer stuff for us closely after start.

And of course, I do hope they sort if out for people who changed gender.

I thought you could talk to calamity guy to change the gender of items.

I think we will have just missed the Yukata event at launch. I'm still bummed I couldn't log on for the New Years event when they had the dragon kabuto as well. >_< Maybe you'll be able to get the old ones when they add new versions of the events (a vendor with event currency or something.)

No sadly we can't. We can only give him ingredients for making things like Dream Tunic's which were previously crafted in exchange for the gear that would've been crafted.
(As the recepies were removed).

The Yukata's were changed with bomb ash where you could purchase a Yukata and other items, there-fore there were no crafting recepies for them.

Sadly the Calamity Salvager doesn't offer an option to exchange them, ergo this thread.

I don't need to exchange them, but it would be nice for others to be able to exchange them if they need to.

I'm pretty sure Yoshida said that since you can change the gender of your character at start of ARR they will introduce a way to change the seasonal items?

He did! But it's not there, so i'm inquiring for a developer/community rep response on what and if this might be added.

Aren't you sort of expected to get rid of most of your clothes when go through a sex change though?

I dunno, I think i'd look pretty dashing in a Lady's Yukata, but i'd prefer a Lord's one.
